Excellent knife to wear when snorkeling or else
It is obvious that this time will not compete with top range diving knives. I bought this knife for the "just in case" dives. in case i get caught in a fishing net or line, in case i need to remove something or dig a little bit in the sand or else or even snorkeling or fishing. This knife is just perfect for all the above. It looses the black "paint" on the blade easily, but i did not buy this knife to put as a display on a shelf. Yes you need to be a little bit more careful than other knives when putting it back to the sheath, but being extra careful what handling a knife does not sound crazy to me. Again, great little knife.

A Cost Effective Knife for Spearfishermen
I have ordered several of these knives in the past. Because of the nature of spearfishing, you'll lose equipment now and then. I've already gone through 4 knives within the past couple years due to a combination of either negligence or hardware failure. Starting with the positive - it's a cheap and effective knife out in the field. I use this knife to primarily dispatch fish. Upon receiving it, I will go ahead and sharpen the knife to my liking -- typically, it comes just sharp enough to cut fruit, so you'll want to give it a better edge using a whetstone or some kind of sharpening device. It's a pretty light weight knife - and the sheath, both the plastic and cloth sheaths, don't add much bulk or weight. It straps on fine and will hold well if you properly fit it your arm or leg correctly. It's also just the right size and quite durable. The negative: It doesn't hold its edge well - the metal is a little soft so you'll find yourself honing the edge every other trip. It will rust - expect to see rust in areas that are not coated with the black coating - make sure to rinse off with freshwater after exposure to saltwater. The plastic sheath will work fine for a while, but once the spring that's linked to the locking mechanism that holds the knife in place becomes fatigued from constant use, the chances of losing the knife becomes greater; This is essentially how I've lost the other knives. The buckles that are used with the straps are a little too fragile, and if you're not careful will break. If you can swap those buckles out with a metal version, that would be a better option. Overall - Despite some flaws, these are good knives to have; very cheap, good features, and will serve you well. I would still highly recommend these to any spearfishing guys out there as a great alternative to the $30-$99 knives out there. Since finding these knives, I never went back to buying anything else.

The perfect outdoor blade!
The BOffer dive knife is the definition of a bang for its buck. First off, it has a dual-edged blade which makes cutting underwater and above land much easier. Secondly, the serrated edge of the blade makes cutting thick things like vines and rope much easier. Thirdly, the sheath of the blade has a strong locking mechanism that helps the knife from falling out even with the most vigorous of activities. Finally, the blade does not rust underwater, making it a perfect dive or outdoor knife! Altogether, the BOffer dive knife is the perfect sports knife for all of your outdoor needs

It's worth the price.
The knife is cool, and it works for what I need it for. I spearfish, and mostly use it to brain the fish after shooting em so they stop trying to escape. Works great. I'd been using it for about 6 months before the locking clip broke during a dive. thankfully I found it in the sand in about 2 feet of water, and I just attached it to a clip on my dive buoy. Now I just dive with it as a backup attached to the buoy. the knife is still all good, still sharp, gets the job done, but the sheath broke and finding the knife was a pure stroke of luck. Not a bad knife at all, but keep an eye on the hard sheath.

Knife was decent, straps are terrible
The knife seemed good until my first dive where the straps did not hold the sheath to my body. I lost the blade just swimming around because the straps were too loose to hold it into place. Absolutely useless if the straps cannot withstand kicking motions when diving into deep water. It was cheap but to lose it on the first dive from poorly designed straps really warrants a refund.
