Now this is a Real and Perfect Sword
Lets start with the basics. The metal is superior to anything in antiquity with refined metallurgical processes at play leaving the steel homogeneous and resilient with zero internal blemishes that might cause fracturing and failure. Her balance point its PRECISELY where it should be at about 3.9 inches from the guard. The machining and finish is impeccable and the edge is fine sharp and hard. The weight is perfect and the heft of the tip gives it a very stable flow when swinging. Small enough to use close to the body and maneuverable enough to close distance with. I had wanted to make a wooden handle when I ordered her, but now Im not so sure as the current handle feels good, is extremely durable, rugged and well made. Great thickness, great edge profile, amazing functionality, from cutting cardboard, chopping wood and even slicing a piece of paper like a razor blade, shes a real tool of war and not a fancy sword fighters weapon. Made with that high grade tool M48 alloy, she is incredibly resistant to bending, breaking, temperature shock and so much more. A REAL Apocalypse Companion <3

Great sword
A very well made sword a bit on the heavy side for me. I am a quite strong person but to swing it for very long it will wear you out. But it will definitely get the job done quickly. Needs to be sharper . But a great sword.

Impressive sword!
Will start with stating i am thoroughly impressed with this Gladius. This is a very heavy sword, so it's going to be a bit of a workout to swing and practice with (not a bad thing). So, I'll break down why I'm going with 4 stars and not 5. The sword itself is, again, quite heavy. This may be the heaviest sword I own now, which is impressive in itself. This should ensure that it would last a lot of pretty strong impacts and other things, so should work find. Blade is very dull, so going to have to sharpen the edge a bit, since this won't cut wet paper. Love the size of the sword, feels like a proper Gladius when I hold it! It feels nice to hold. I love the handle, love the feel of it overall, but the main problem I have is the sheath itself. For some reason, there is a quarter inch gap between the entrance of the sheath and the guard, when it should be resting on it (picture). Why is this an issue? Because the blade moves around in the sheath itself. If I were to strap this to my hip, that gap means it will be flopping around inside the sheath, making noise. While I'm not taking this sword on sheath missions, still nice to not have the sword moving inside the scabbard, plus that *may* dull that part of the blade as it bangs up against the scabbard. The scabbard itself, slight gap aside, is very nice. It's thick, so it'll last forever, but the first thing that is (likely) going to give is the cloth belt loop. It's thick, yes, but it will likely fray over time and break, and the part that wraps around the handle is a bit Meh. Overall, this is a great sword. Sharpened, this would be a fantastic sword, and the small gap is a negligible issue. But, due to dull blade and the gap in the slightly undersized sheath, that knocks 1 star from the overall review. Still, 4/5 means it's good, so I do recommend this sword to anyone who wants a Gladius. It's a cool looking sword! *addon* I was able to push the sword down into the sheath a bit, so was able to get it fully seated into place. Doesn't seem to have damaged anything, and the blade's tip remains quite strong. Still, not increasing the rating due to having to do this. People with less strength with compression will have issues doing that, so not advisable.

Great sword! Kind of like a sword with the weight of a club!
Superb sword, quality all around. Weighty, like a mace or club weight but with a sword blade. If you use it a lot, gives you a bit of tennis elbow. Wish it was a little lighter, but it is effective and sharp and looks great!

To heavy to be a gladiolus.
Well built sword, super heavy. A normal gladiolus should weigh 1.5 -2 lbs. this one is 3.6. It’s super heavy to swing like a gladiolus should be swung. I guess practice with this and fight with a real one. Then it will feel super light.
