Paper Map is vital GO bag component
It's a map, it's up-to-date, easy to read, and easy to use. Wife and I bought it to map out a drive just in case we need to leave our state for whatever reasons. It's part of our GO bag now, because you can't be certain your phone or electronic map services will be working when you're trying to get the heck out of dodge. Nothing beats a paper map with a clearly marked route already drawn in. It's sad saying this, but given the state of current events, it's true.

Durable and easy to fold
Not a lot of detail, but great for planning multi state adventures. Can draw on w dry erase markers

Make your long trip easier to plan.
In planning an extended road trip and I found it much easier to highlight the route for the entire trip on this map. Driving from Mobile AL to Phoenix, up to the Grand Canyon, through NV into to ID , visiting National Parks along the route into MT back to WY for Yellowstone. Then we're coming back to Mobile via Pawhuska, OK. Being able to see this trip highlighted on a map brought everything together and easier to make planned stops along the way. You just can't do that on a GPS. Rand McNally is a great vendor for these maps.
