A fantastic strap. This is far better than I was expecting. It's a budget strap but has all the pro parts. Quick release clips, tough seatbelt type of strap with a beautiful silver/grey effect. This is a very strong strap and I fully trust it with any of my stablersers. Neewer is one of my favourite companies as the price is low and the quality is high. perfect for amateur filmmakers, videographers and online content creators. A BIG 5***** for this excellent product.

This gimbal shoulder strap arrived in a sturdy, branded cardboard box that also includes the handle base plate, two quick release sockets, an Allen key (for attaching the base plate) and instructions. Firstly, to use this to its full capability you need to have the Sling handle for the gimbal. I don’t have this and it’s my own stupid fault for not reading the product description properly as it makes clear you need the Sling handle. However, the base plate has two holes for the quick release sockets and two are supplied so I now have an excellent quick release shoulder strap for carrying my gimbal around. It’s comfortable, strong and secure. Having used it a few times I’m happy to trust it to hold my expensive gear. I have this on a DJI RS4. The base plate screws into the bottom of the handle and an Allen key (supplied) is required for this. The base plate has a threaded hole either side to attach the quick release sockets. The base plate has ¼”/20 and ⅜” sockets underneath so the gimbal can still be mounted onto other equipment easily. A nice touch is that the base plate is Arca/Swiss compatible so it can be locked into an existing quick mount. This is a strong, secure, well made and comfortable strap. At its full price of £40.99 it’s probably a tad expensive for what it is and that loses it a star.

This Gimbal Shoulder Strap (Model No. GA016) arrives in a plain looking, Neewer branded, cardboard box. Inside the box is the strap itself (inside a drawstring bag), two QD connectors and Alan key (inside a second drawstring bag), the base plate (inside a gripseal bag), and instruction booklet. Note: As stated in the description, it is important to know that this strap only works if you have a sling handle for your compatible gimbal. The 3.2cm wide strap feels well made and very strong. Despite this it has a relatively smooth texture, meaning it is unlikely to get caught on clothing. Where the strap goes over your shoulder, it is covered by a 22cm length of padding. The length of the strap is easy to adjust as it uses the modern ‘tug style mechanism, rather than the older buckle style. The base is well made, with a good finish throughout, from what looks to be a robust but lightweight aluminium alloy. It attaches to the bae of your gimbal with the included screw and Allan Key. The bottom of the base has both a 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 socket for connecting it to a tripod or stand. The base also has ARCA Swiss compatible grooves on the side for attaching it to a compatible tripod head. The strap attaches to the gimbal using two QD quick release buckles. Apart from the QD socket in the base plate, two QD sockets are included that can be attached to the gimbal using a 1/4”-20 screw (included) and the Allan key. (These are the Arri style connectors, with two locating pins). In use the strap worked well both to help take some of the weight of the gimbal when in use, and as a means of carrying the gimbal between shots. The padding, whilst not substantial, is enough to make it comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The strap was quick to install and the quick release QD system worked quickly and easily, allowing me to quickly release the strap when necessary. The instructions are basic, but include nice, clear, easy to understand illustrations. In conclusion, if you have a compatible gimbal, then this is a well made and thought out shoulder strap. The only negative is that you will need to keep the Allan key in your kit, just in case you have need of removing the base plate or the QD connectors at some point. ~ Ethics Statement: Amazon provided me with this product to review and asked in return that I give my honest and impartial opinion about it. This gimbal sling is a genius solution! It’s a gimbal support as well as being a way to carry the gimbal when not in use, so it solves two problems in one. As a support, I find it relieves strain as you can basically just rest the gimbal without all the weight being on your arms. Operating it like this of course limits your movement a little, so you can’t for example go from a low to a high shot easily while using it, you’re pretty much just set to a waist height. But if you’re doing simple shots or especially if you need to hold it still for long interview shoots where you can’t use a tripod, it’s absolutely perfect! Then as a way to hold the gimbal when not in use, I think it’s great too. You just power off your gimbal and use the quick release mounts to snap it onto the sling and you’re ready to move locations without having to hold a heavy gimbal in your hand when you do so! The build quality feels sturdy, I can’t imagine the strap breaking, and the quick release connectors are rated for 30kg which is WAY more than you can put on a gimbal like that anyway, so it all feels very safe and secure.

Superb shoulder strap quality. This is really high quality made shoulder strap. It fits well for my RS24 and found no issues at all. This RS4 Gimbal Shoulder Strap Kit is such great value for money. It is a Weight Reducing Soft Padding Adjustable Strap with a Baseplate Compatible with a huge range of the newer models. The Sling Handle has Quick release and it’s very comfortable to wear over long periods of time. I highly recommend overall.

I had high hopes for this Neewer product, especially since it seemed to improve on the Smallrig I bought earlier. The machining is nice, and the matte finish is much better than the semi-gloss of the Smallrig. The bottom mount is a significant improvement—secure on the RS4 without damaging the battery handle over time like the Smallrig did. The Arca Swiss compatibility is a game changer, allowing you to mount the gimbal to any Arca Swiss plate without adding extra weight through quick-release options. Overall, it’s a better-thought-out solution—on paper. However, the fatal flaw is the entire reason this attachment exists: to allow mounting accessories to the bottom sides of the gimbal’s battery grip. The design fails spectacularly here. Tilta and most other NATO clamps don’t fit on the NATO rail because there isn’t enough clearance from the base plate body. This prevents the NATO rail from functioning properly, as clamps cannot slide on. It’s incredibly frustrating for a product with so much promise to fail at its core purpose. Neewer, if you’re listening, please fix this issue by either raising the NATO rail off the surface or machining a groove in the base plate to allow NATO clamps to work as intended. Until then, I’m afraid this product is fundamentally flawed, and despite its other improvements, it’s getting 1 out of 5 stars. The system simply doesn’t work as advertised, and that’s a deal-breaker.

One of the better Strap for a DJI RS 3 Mini - Bottom adapter fits better - Stap is longer - Includes 2 push button adapter holder vs. one on others - In my opinion, darker grey strap color is better for appearance longevity.

As much as I love the strap, it does not fit the RSC2 Gimbal. I even attempted to modify but it remained loose. I ended up attaching the strap higher up with one of the attachments it came with so I can still use the strap.
