McCormick Crushed Jalapeño Pepper, 1.37 oz

I was very surprised to find this product. I love jalapeños and any kind of flavorful spice but fresh produce goes bad so quickly that I end up throwing a lot away. These flakes pack a lot of heat and the flavor was not compromised. The flakes come out easily and aren’t clumped together. Well worth the few dollars spent.

Good Stuff

Kinda hot! But great flavor!

I enjoy SOME heat on things but don’t like the mouth-feel of crunchy peppers, nor the vinegar-y taste of jarred/pickled jalapeños.Enter this stuff: just dehydrated seeds/chopped peppers, and NO added sodium — the best of both worlds!As I prefer to control the burn — and don’t like crunchy stuff added to foods that are not generally crunchy — I processed this entire bottle in my electric spice grinder until it became an evenly-sized granule (between fine- and course-ground black pepper). I also taped-up all but one hole in the shaker top. Now I can sprinkle this stuff on a variety of things and control the flavor/heat.Happy camper.
