It really depends on the type of work? If warehouse or standing for 8 hours I would recommend a different type shoe. However if it's a sit down type job or standing for maybe 3 to 4 hours and no risk of something heavy falling on your feet then I would say yes this shoe would be fine. Hope this helps. I wear mine when going out to dinner or going to the hardware store etc.

little tight will they streach wearing the shoe ?

They have stayed tight so far, and the lightness of the shoe is a HUGE plus as it allows for air flow! Mine have relaxed a bit. However, the one drawback I did notice is actually how surprising fast the soles and in-sole have worn down.
