Just what I wanted
I'm a flashlight junkie- have been since the 70's. This little pen sized light, which I just received, really performs! I waited until dark and just tested it in my front yard- it lit up an area about 30' wide at a distance of about 50'. I own, among others, AA maglights and other recently purchased single battery LED's using AA's and this light really holds its own and even outperforms them. I'm a Project Manager for public housing-- I wear suits/ties and go on construction sites weekly- I need something I can easily carry in a pocket for inspections- just found my new llight! Will post again in a few months after using this light.

Perfect
These are smaller than my index finger but way brighter than much larger flashlights - even other LEDs. They take a standard AAA. The button is on and off. None of this flashing, dimming, and cycling modes.

Well made AAA flashlight. Bright.
This little flashlight is awesome. Well made. Strong button. Sturdy clip. Very bright for a AAA battery. Fast shipping. Will purchase again. Also....this flashlight has a clip that can be turned around and clipped to the bill of your hat when working with two hands and needing a light. Amazing.

Tiny and functional
Take a push-button on/off switch, two AAA batteries and an LED lamp and stack them up. Tightly wrap them in a thin metal shell. Style the shell a bit and add a pocket clip. You have the Hatori Mini Flashlight. I don't think they could be made any smaller. Oh, and they work great too.I recently experienced a power failure in my home and the Hatori Minis were a life saver. They throw a bright, well-focused (but not adjustable) beam that I was able to use to find my emergency work light, my power-bank and additional rechargeable batteries (which I didn't need).Speaking of rechargeable batteries, that's what I'm using in them. The vendor recommends alkaline rather than rechargeable for longer life, but if you have a collection of rechargeable cells like I do, you don't necessarily need long life. That's the beauty of rechargeable in the first place. As far as battery life, I still haven't had to recharge and I'm sure I must have well over an hour of use on one of them.I can also vouch for the vendor, AC Market. I originally received the one-battery version of these (also terrific) by mistake. I contacted them and they replaced them free of charge with the correct ones even though it wasn't their fault.

Bright light in a small package.
Looks and feels really good. Light is bright for something so small.Fits into the Mini Maglite slot of my Leatherman Wave multitool pouch.I worry about the lens, though. It feels like flimsy plastic. I hope it doesn't scratch easily or crack.I remember seeing complaints about reversing the clip to aim the light in the opposing direction to clip onto a baseball-type cap. The simple solution without removing the clip is to reverse the head lamp cap from the tail cap, and reversing the battery so the positive goes to the head (lamp) and the negative goes to the tail cap. Now you can clip the light to the cap bill.

second review after first set of two fell apart
This is an update to y previous review. The light end fell apart while walking my dog. Did not bump it or mishandle in any way. Light unit itself still worked but without the enclosure, there was minimal light with new batteries. I thought perhaps I just had a defective one, but when it happened a second time, I am convinced it is a worthless product. Just not worth the cost. Purchased these for walking my dog in the dark. It is bright enough to light the sidewalk to check for anything I do not want to step on and very good light for finding and picking up after my dog. It is also easy for me to handle, along with leash and waste bag, as I have serious joint pain and stiff fingers (83 years old!). A bright flashlight would be distracting to neighbors in an apartment complex so the brightness is perfect for me. Can't comment specifically on durability or battery life as I just received it two days ago. Having a second as a backup is a plus.

Bright, tiny, and handy!
I especially like this flashlight because it is like half the length of other flashlights I have had. I have have the 2AA mag-lights and they are uncomfortable in my front pocket when I kneel down- this guy is no bother at all.I can't really comment yet on battery life because I haven't had to change it. It isn't spotlight bright, but is plenty bright for seeing things on the other side of the road or so.My favorite feature is that by flipping the pocket clip upside down, I can hook it on the bill of my baseball cap and make it hands-free.

I wasn't sure about this brand, but then I bought 4 more.
If you're unsure whether or not to buy these just do it and try them out. I was skeptical at first, coming from a Surefire/Stream light/etc. brand name to seeing this Asian brand Hatori, but after trying out the Hatori flash light I am more than satisfied. My thoughts were, if this light sucks at least it didn't cost $100 like my Surefire, and if I were to lose it or break it at work, who cares. To my surprise the brightness is pretty good (don't expect it to clear rooms when fighting terrorist). It may not light up a dark alleyway, but it does exactly what I need it to do. It provides a bright light in dark spaces.Since buying my first light in September or 2019, I've purchased 4 more. For the price, I can afford to have these small flashlights everywhere without breaking the bank. The 3.55" model fits everywhere I need it, from my pocket to my Nalgene bottle survival kit. It also uses AAA batteries which adds to the cost effectiveness of this product.I still own and use the first light I purchased and It works just like the day I got it. I would not hesitate to buy this light again.
