Graph mode allows for easy testing of automotive parasitic drain
This thing does everything that a multimeter should do. What this sets the DMT-99 apart from other multimeters in its price range ($37 at the time of writing this review) is its digital display with the graph mode, which cycles after a little over 30 seconds, and makes it infinitely easier to diagnose those pesky intermittent parasitic drain that spikes for a second and then goes away for the next 2-3 minutes. Other multimeters in this price range lack this feature. I purchased this multimeter and combined it with a Lisle 64970 parasitic drain testing harness to test my vehicle for intermittent parasitic drain. The graph mode (shown as the "recording mode") made it a lot easier since I didn't have to keep my eyes glued to the display the entire time. It also has the ability to display minimum and maximum detected levels. The only downside is there isn't a way to scroll back to see older chart, but you can mark and save the displayed current/voltage. Fortunately, the level of parasitic drain I discovered is within the norm of a modern vehicle, but the graph mode made it extremely easy. NCV works great, and the beep is audible enough but not annoying. I was also impressed with the battery capacity. I fully charged the device and had this thing running in frigid temperature (30 to 40°F in the shade) for about 3-4 hours while performing the test, and the battery level meter only went down from a total of seven bars to six. In terms of size and weight, it's about average in its class. You can put it in your pocket, but you'll definitely notice it's in there. This multimeter is definitely worth the investment. It more than paid itself off after a single use. Even accounting for the Lisle 64970 harness, the combined cost of the two ($60) is vastly less than what mechanics charge for parasitic battery drain testing, which can range from anywhere from $120 to $200 depending on where you live.

Great multimeter
It arrived in good shape and had everything but a thermocouple for measuring temperature. I'm not an expert on these and I got to measure tail amps for flashlights. I based my decision for buying this because I have other FNIRSI products. I have used it to measure the voltage on some batteries and it was very accurate. It has a really nice screen and the buttons respond well when you make a selection. Charging is easy with the built in USB C charging port. You can use the box to store it because it is protected very well with the foam in the box. Or you can take the foam out of the box and use it in a case. I definitely recommend this multimeter. Even for a beginner, it's very easy to use.

Pro low voltage tech who's guilty pleasures is multimeters.
So. Where to begin. I broke two different flukes and I got a bit tired of shelling out $150 plus to buy a new one. Been doing this stuff for 20+ years and a meter is a daily tool. Got into a fling with aneng meters and those did not dissappoint. Got used to the auto function and with two adhesive magnet strips on the back, you can park them above the ceiling and still have both hands free. Would recommend those. Still. And then I found this one. Eh. Wow. The voltage over time read out is awesome. I can walk over to a request to exit button and walk back to the meter and it shows the voltage drop over time. That's.. well? Awesome. I dont need someone on the other end to tell me the voltage dropped. Its right there on the screen. The meter overall is as precise as one of the more expensive ones you can buy. First impressions tell me the whole thing is pretty sturdy and the leads are the same kind of quality you'd expect from a high dollar meter. The auto function works just as well as the aneng meters. Whatever you put on the leads is accurately displayed on the screen. VDC, VAC, resistance.. you name it. It is a bit slow to decide what it's looking at but that doesn't bother me. I get paid by the hour. The screen is the ultimate party trick. Whether above the ceiling in the dark or in bright sunlight. Always completely legible. Fluke should take notes when it comes to this. I also like the type C usb charger port. It charges fast and I can hook it into my vehicle charger all day. All in all. I've been in this business for quite a while. And I've probably put my hands on quite a few meters. This one truly stands out. The only thing missing is a magnet but I overcame that by using epoxy to glue a magdaddy magnet into the hanging hole. Done. For short. I don't know if it's the availability of newer IC's or cheaper screens, this is the one I'm gonna stick with for quite a while. No party tricks. Just a very useful companion for my day to day work. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

TPS glitch ahh no. Glow plug relay volt drop, alternator output, current inrush, oh yeah
Like the meter, especially the graphing, that is what i use mostly for DCV. the continuity beep is fairly loud, for 5 feet, quiet for 10 feet in a noisy shop. A separate enter and back button would make 1 hand meter selection much easier. This price point i can live with it, at least it isn't just a mode/select button. Will buy another when needed.

My favorite multimeter, great customer support also
I personally found this to be the perfect all-around multimeter for my needs. The auto function is amazing and the screen is bright and clear. The kickstand and probe holders are a nice touch. Easy to disassemble in case you need to change either of the two fuses. The battery lasts a long time. I think this is the best multimeter for the price and features. There is a graphing function that does data plots over time, and I thought that was a cool use case which I haven't needed yet but glad to have. I wasn't asked to leave this review, but I did reach out to Fnirsi customer support for an issue and they were really helpful and resolved my issue quickly, so I am a big fan now. I have since purchased other Fnirsi products and have been really impressed with the user experience.

Lot os nice features
It works great is easy to use but it is not really a recorder, it displays a trace of the measurement but there is no adjustment. I bought it with the assumption that it will record the voltage input but it only records the measurement at a manual request I was ready to return it as it doesn't do what I need but decided to keep it because of all the other nice features it has. It also shows a good manufacturing quality.

You will be so glad this meter is A+++ Perfect!
What a great meter. Easy to use & read, usb-c re-chargeable that comes with cord. Best meter I’ve used, fine leads for those tight spots. A+++. Readability & continuity beep is top notch.

The best multimeter I've ever owned
Simply an amazing multimeter for people who know next to nothing about electrical systems. It's so convenient and with enough features that I expect that an expert would give it a good review (but I'm no electrical expert). The display is clear and bright, so even in darkness you can measure what you need to. The tips are sharp on the probes so it pierces to conductivity through rusty metal easily, and with handy safety plastic tip covers to keep from accidentally poking yourself when not in use. The probes easily mount to the underside of the device so that you're not dangling around a trip hazard.
