Lattafa Liam Grey Eau de Parfum Spray for Unisex, 3.4 Ounce

It leans clean and smooth rather than heavy and over-the-top - polished, grown-up, and surprisingly versatile. In terms of performance, it doesn’t dominate a room, but it stays with you. Expect around 6–8 hours of wear on skin, and longer on clothes, with a modest projection that keeps things personal yet noticeable. It won’t announce itself aggressively, which makes it great for work or cozy gatherings without overwhelming anyone. Some buyers compare it to much pricier niche scents, feeling it captures the same kind of elegant, laid-back sophistication for a fraction of the cost. This is a fragrance I will repurchase again and again!! When I first got it, I thought it was too masculine and I was regretting my purchase. I'm so glad I gave it a second chance though! I'm really loving atmospheric scents, and this is one of the best ones I've found. It gives "rainy day in a tea house surrounded by woods" vibe. It's moody and complex and it keeps me intrigued. It very much reminds me of art in the form of perfume. I would consider this a unisex fragrance. It's not sweet but there is hint of vanilla. I mostly get tea and woods from this, along with an earthy smell from the vetiver and patchouli. There's a slight powderiness, which I don't usually like, but it works exceptionally well with the woods and petrichor. I would peg this as a far more expensive fragrance than it is. The presentation was beyond impressive- perfect for gifting! The bottle is heavy, though the cap is plastic (if that matters to you). The atomizer sprays evenly and is slightly pressurized I think. My bottle is starting to leak a little around the atomizer, but the quality of the fragrance makes up for any packaging flaws.

Undeniably this is a nice sweater-weather scent especially at this price point. My review is mainly for those wanting to know how it compares to BDK Gris Charnel. Having worn Gris Charnel - both the EDP and Extrait, I find Lataffa Liam differs significantly in fragrance (vanilla!!!) but even more so in its personality and style. The BDK GC’s are elegant, introverted, layered, with notes unfolding over time, and gentle sillage. It’s a person who owns a cat. Liam is a dog owner. Liam seems to hit my nose all in one cheerful loud burst. It has a bright, forward quality, with a strong vanilla beneath that I don’t get with the BDK. Sillage is strong. All that said, there really is part of Liam that does closely match Gris Charnel - If I smelled this on someone in public I would probably think they had layered Gris Charnel with Lataffa Kamrah. Don’t get me wrong- I like Lataffa’s style (I sometimes wear Kamrah and Kamrah Qawah) for what it is, but what it isn’t is Gris Charnel by BDK. It’s like Gris Charnel’s cousin. There’s a resemblance but the personality is totally different. So if you have fallen hard for the BDK you won’t be satisfied with this and you might be best served by just saving up for the (painful) price of the BDK. By the way If people don’t know, you can buy little sample sizes of BDK scents at local stores or via online retailers like Luckyscent for like 10 bucks or less - it’s not much perfume but it’s enough that you can get it out for special occasions or those times you just want to revel in it. My bottle of Liam will probably migrate into my teen’s bathroom, where its bouncy, buoyant, forward, extroverted personality and cozy-sweet vanilla vibes are more likely to be loved. Update! I’m finding Liam more and more enjoyable as I smell it as worn by the aforementioned teen. It really is so nice in its own right! It’s complex and appealing, and a such refreshing departure from the ubiquitous “male elixir extra stanky extrait ” or “blu generic freshie pour homme” drivel that’s served up to young men these days (and Liam works well on all genders, too). The only way in which I dislike it at all is as a supposed clone of the BDK Gris Charnel Extrait or EDP, which have irreplaceable, distinctive, elegant French cool vibes.

Presentation: The packaging surprised me in a good way. It feels more premium than expected, and the bottle looks clean and classy with a silver cap, “Lattafa” engraving, and a silver “LIAM” plaque on the front. Scent: Opens with black tea, cardamom, and fig for a fresh, slightly spicy sweet “tea and creamy woods” vibe. It quickly reminded me of BDK Gris Charnel with that cozy, refined, airy spicy feel. It smooths out with iris and vetiver, then dries down warm with sandalwood, vanilla, tonka, and a touch of patchouli. Performance: About 4 to 7 hours on skin and 7 to 8 hours on clothes. Moderate projection for the first couple of hours, then it wears closer. Pros: Smells refined for the price, great for cooler weather, and scratches the Gris Charnel itch without niche pricing. The tea and fig opening helps it stand out from basic fresh scents. Cons: Not a safe blind buy. If you dislike tea notes, fig, or soft spicy scents, it may not be for you. Also becomes more close wearing as it dries down. Best for: Fall, winter, spring, and indoor use with A C. Overall, a great pickup if you like fresh but cozy scents. Sample first if you are unsure about tea

I bought this from reading the reviews & I have never smelled the OG this is compared to, so I don't know if they smell similar. I do like it but it doesn't project as some reviewers said, it smells nice it just didn't project or last more than a couple of hours & became a skin scent I could barely smell it 4 hours later. I would suggest you over spray & take it with you to respray later on.

This is my rainy day fragrance. I use it when I don't want to smell floral, radiant, or sweet. But want to smell... "less is more" It's slightly masculine leaning so it's a unisex fragrance. It's not heavy or harsh though. It's soft enough that it smells like I hugged my man and he left his scent on my clothes. or smells like someone wearing a grey loosely fitted tee that just came out the laundry, slouchy denim, and open toe Flat sandals. Comfortable. It's one of my favorites for all these reasons.

Dries down to a cozy vanilla sandalwood with a hint of green fig, lasts 8-10 hrs. Moderate to intimate scent intensity as it dries down over time. The liquid is a nice greyish green and the bottle was made of glass except for the cap. First few sprays could be sharp but over time it mellows out.

I had saw all the reviews about this. Some were good- some were bad. So I decided to pull the trigger. And I am so glad I did. When I first sprayed it I did not like it at all! It smelled like rotted plant roots and cardamom. Like you boiled them on the stove. I was unhappy and I was going to gift it. However, after the dry down..I fell head over heels! Then I went and started blending it with vanilla's and "milk" from Bath & body. Out of This World cozy! I do believe this will be a permanent staple in my collection. Please just give it time to dry down and if you think it is too masculine mix it! I mean I'm going to be using this in my bed.. on my bath towel..my sweaters..it's going to be beautiful in the Autumn and in the winter it smells foggy.. it smells grey.. it smells cozy.. it smells like an overcast. If you are familiar with Victorinix "first snow" it's like it's sister with a degree and experience. They would blend perfectly as well.. but beware.. you will probably go into a deep sleep LOL

Was a big fan of Lattafa Khamrah when I tried it, easy addition to the fragrance collection. I was blown away by how complex and luxurious it was paired with an unbelievable price point. So I thought I'd give a few other Lattafa products a try in that price point. No, I don't really know that much about fragrances, but I saw some videos saying this is sort of like a dupe of BDK's Gris Charnel. Haven't smelled that so can't compare, but I really did like this fragrance. It sort of felt basic when I first tried it, but it's actually grown on me over time. If you've tried Khamrah, this is definitely in that ballpark of woodsy, musky, spicy, rich, but on a much more toned down level. This one plays to me like a more reliable everyday wear for daytime or work, or casual nights out. Khamrah just has that little bit extra elevation to it that gives it a luxurious aspect. This is a solid fragrance though with a woodsy sort of spicy tone, with cardamom and vetiver. I'm a male but I think this could work well as a unisex fragrance and for the price point, I think this is definitely great value for that price. I'd purchase this again.
