Well built, no plastic or light duty components. Collet selection makes for fast and accurate sharpening. Process is easily understandable and pretty much fool proof. Well worth the money if you need to sharpen any quantity of drills.

Buy it!!!! It’s everything you need to sharpen and maintain drill bits back to new!! It puts a factory edge back on with the option to add a split point so your bit will not wander off when starting to drill! It also has many adjustments to cover everything you need. I’ve had other plastic cheaper sharpeners but none compare to this. It’s built heavy duty and it’s built for life. You will not be disappointed!!!

After re-sharpening a couple of dozen 118- and 135-degree drill bits, I'm generally impressed with the results. Grinds are symetrical, bits cut evenly on both faces, holes have minimal "wobble". The included instructions are pretty useless -- you'll need watch a YT video to get up to speed. The collet collection covers 1/8 - 1/2" bits. Collets are ER-20 and ER-25 style. Dialing-in the bit-diameter (web-diameter) is pretty low-precision -- the alignment arrow is an inch away from the dial. My biggest complaint is safety-related: while grinding the point angle on the side port, the abrasive wheel is visible in the top port and it's pretty hard to find a position that's out of the "line-of-fire". Eye/face protection is a must, and the same goes for respirator masks. The collet storage is okay (unless you transport the sharpener 'cuz all the collets will fall out of their retainer holes) but there's no place to put the workholder, kind of a big oversight IMO. All that aside, the unit consistently delivers sharp, well-formed drill bits, which, if you'll excuse the pun, is the whole point.

I’m using this VEVOR Drill Bits Sharpener in my CNC machine shop, and it’s been a reliable tool. It can sharpen drills up to 3/4" quickly and consistently, which saves us time and keeps tooling in rotation. For a professional-grade sharpener, the price is very reasonable. It doesn’t do true split points, but it can modify them into web thinning, which works just as well in practice. Overall, it’s a cost-effective and dependable solution for keeping drills sharp in a production environment.

Very well built. In common with other Chinese products, the manual is not very informative. In particular, the relief grinding station is not explained very well. It comes adjusted from the factory, so if you play with changing settings like I did, you will have to spend some time sorting it out. Once adjusted, you get a geometry that seems to cut very well. I also have a Drill Doctor. The Vevor applies a smoother finish to the drill end and cutting edges, and the final result just looks better. The Vevor wheel cuts much faster. The Drill Doctor can be tedious when sharpening larger bits, probably because of the much smaller grinding wheel. However, the Vevor doesn't have small collets, whereas the Drill Doctor can sharpen 1/8" bits. So I use the Drill Doctor for smaller bits.

The Vevor 13B is one of those rare off-shore products that really works, and works well. Right out of the box I was able to take a cheap drill bit I had on hand, sharpen it and put on a split point (technically thinned the webbing). The sharpened bit easily drilled through some 3/16” plate steel with little effort. The Vevor is sturdy and well made, and the collet has close tolerances so it fits snugly in the sizing and grinding openings. I took off a star for the almost complete lack of included instructions and the horrible (nonexistent) support on the Vevor website. I asked a fairly simple question, and after 4 days of AI-generated blather I turned to Youtube where I found several excellent videos describing the differences between the 13A and 13B, as well as tutorials on how to use the machine. The Vevor works so well that it actually takes longer to watch the videos than to sharpen the bits yourself. But watch the videos, they make using the Vevor a snap. Overall the Vevor 13B is excellent addition to my shop. I hate dulling a bit on a weekend night and having to spend 30’ driving to buy a new bit, or waiting until the next day if the stores are closed. This takes 2’ and I’ve got a new bit ready to go. The obvious comparison is the Drill Doctor. I have a Drill Doctor, but it is a toy compared to the 13B, and costs almost as much. No comparison, the Vevor consistently produces an excellent finish and a fast cutting bit. The Drill Doctor takes longer and is not as reliable; in my hands about half the time I have to take a 3rd or 4th pass with the DR, and sometimes even that does not make a useful bit. With the reliabilty of the 13B bit, the DR will go on marketplace or the scrap heap.

Schärft Bohrer sehr präzise und ultrascharf an. Habe jetzt 50 Bohrer aller Größen durch. Mit ein wenig Übung geht alles zwischen 5-10mm in ca. 30s pro Bohrer. Die kleinen brauchen etwas länger, hauptsächlich, um vor dem schärfen die Schneide auszurichten. Das ist etwas Fummelarbeit. Dauert halt dann 10s länger pro Bohrer. Das Schärfen selbst ist dann sowieso Sekundensache. Da das Gerät so gut funktioniert, würde ich fast sagen: Leute, investiert in nur einen guten Satz HSS-Bohrer und schärft die regelmäßig mit diesem Gerät nach, dann hat man die ein Leben lang.

E una macchina Spettacolare! Avevo visto le mille recensioni online della macchina e le mie aspettative erano alte, e devo dire che cio nonostante sono rimasto stupito di come affila le punte!! Una punta nuova non taglia bene come dopo essere stata affilata con questa affilatrice. La nuova versione arancione e a mio avviso molto piu bella della versione gialla che si vede in tutti i video di youtube. Direi che sono entusiasta di questa macchina e non posso che consigliarla.

Le colis est arrivé plus tôt que prévu et dans un cartonnage épais donc la machine était bien protégée. Premier essais,facilité d’utilisation,et résultat impeccable. Affûter une mèche est un jeu d’enfant en 3 opérations et 1 minute votre mèche est prête. Le seul point où il faut être vigilant,c’est le réglage de la meche dans le mandrin. Cette opération doit être effectuée avec précision pour obtenir les résultats escomptés. Sinon aucune difficulté particulière sauf peut-être faire rentrer le mandrin dans la matrice d affûtage car les ajustements sont sans jeux. Sinon c’est une machine lourde tout en métal épais qui fonctionne tres silencieusement. Bref ,un bon achat que je peu recommander.
