Salter 3 Tier Electric Food Steamer, 7.5 L With Rice Bowl, 500 W

Not the first time i have made a purchase from Amazon resale and once again, it doesn't disappoint.Great little steamer for two of us which will replace an older steamer with nothing wrong with it but its just too big for our weekly use.The only concern i had on first use was the size of the water reservoir but it works great but might be something you need to keep an eye on if steaming for an hour.triple stack works well and comes with a rice bowl.

This steamer provides a simple way to eat healthily by retaining most of the goodness (and flavour!) from the vegetables and other produce that it can cook. The various tiers obviously detach from one another, which makes it very straightforward to clean. The design is generally good, but I think the lid could be improved as it is sometimes a bit difficult to fit on. I thought it was just me, but my wife says she also struggles to put it on sometimes. The instructions are very sparse but, fortunately, there are lots of videos online to help you become acquainted with it. Similarly, no timings are given for steaming, so it is necessary to experiment a bit - or buy one of the many steamer cookbooks that are available on Amazon. Apart from these minor niggles, we are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend this steamer to anyone who is looking for an easy way to eat healthily.

Really good and easy to use, lightweight steamer baskets but be mindful of the steam when removing baskets, likewise the hot water left within the base afterwards - allow it to cool before emptying the water out.Definitely keep out of reach of kids and away from the worktop edge, stability is questionable as it’s tall and narrow. Don’t try to move it once it’s in use!We recently had our gas boiler removed and replaced with an Air Source Heat Pump so it seemed pointless paying a gas standing charge for just our cooker rings (ovens are electrical) and our gas fire which we don’t use anyway. I needed a way to cook things that we used to use the gas rings for, this steamer was bought to tied us over until we have a new kitchen in a years time. It is brilliant, easy to use it’s got a lot of power and does steam beautifully and even. You can cook enough for 4 people with Sunday Dinner servings. As an added bonus we can take this camping with us as we have an inverter in our van. Electric hook up. It’s already paid for itself in the 2 months since we had the gas capped off and removed by our supplier and the portable induction job we’ve also bought.

Lovely little steamer. Nice and compact so doesn’t take up a lot of room. Works very well and steams the food beautifully. Easy to clean and saves a lot of time and washing up! I would recommend using this to anyone

Good value

A nice little steamer that cooks veggies and potatoes very well. However there are a few drawbacks, the baskets are quite flimsy and may scratch or break easily, the side handles are too small and are difficult to get hold of and the timer does not ring when it reaches 0. We have to set another timer so we know when the food is ready! However it saves on space as it is smaller than our previous steamer.

I bought this steamer thinking I'd use it occasionally, but it's ended up becoming one of the most-used appliances in my kitchen. I honestly use it almost every day.It's incredibly versatile. I've cooked everything from eggs and vegetables to rice, and it all comes out well with very little effort. Being able to steam different foods at the same time is a real time-saver.The three-tier design offers plenty of space, and I like that the trays stack neatly without taking up too much room when stored. It's also very straightforward to use, making it easy to prepare healthy meals without having to keep an eye on the stove.Cleaning is simple, and the BPA-free trays have held up well after regular use.Looking back, I didn't think I'd get much use out of it, but it's become one of those kitchen appliances I reach for every single day. If you're trying to cook more healthy meals with minimal effort, it's a fantastic addition to the kitchen.

Bought this steamer to replace our aging steamer. It is more compact than our previous steamer and smaller than it appears in the photos, however it is fine for a family of four. We use two of the three tiers instead of one on the previous steamer. The baskets are quite thiin plastic so not sure if they will last as long as the previous steamer and the lid needs to be placed quite precise to fit correctly. The biggest negative is there are rings to place between the different baskets which do not store well if you wish to store the baskets inside each other rather than on top of each other.In summary, the design could be better and the plastic is on the flimsy side but despite these observations it works well and takes up less room than the previous steamer so no complaints.
