good deal
I was looking for a combo pack because most only come in sets of 2, but this one actually comes with four, so the unit price of each was lower, thus making it a great deal! But yeah, they work great too, very responsive, like they trigger almost instantaneously after sending the command. I've always been able to trust Shelly, plus they integrate well into home assistant.

Poor documentation\Difficult setup
I know Shelly is a popular brand for automation and this will be an unpopular opinion, but I gave it my best shot and I’m just going to return them all. I’m using it with Home Assistant, I have setup up many, many Home Assistant machines and all types of devices to those machines, none has been more difficult to deal with other than Shelly. First, it only ships documentation for the ZWAVE quick setup, but on many of the Home Assistant machines, there’s no camera to read the QR code. You have to come online to get the Zwave inclusion instructions, for a Zwave device, crazy eh? Then unlike a vast majority of Zwave and & Zigbee device where you click like 3 times or click and hold, these Shelly outlets require you to do some timing. Click hold, let go, click hold longer than 2s, etc. It was a HEADACHE getting them included on a Zwave JS network. And don’t even think about excluding it so you can return it, another weird set of timing instructions, they REFUSED to exclude themselves from the network so I can return them. So much time dealing with this device when click, click, click would be so easy, like everyone else. There are SO many other easier devices to configure and use. Don't watse your time, they are so many better options

UPDATED REVIEW: Seems better now, but might still have problems
Updated Review: So Shelly reached out and did some troubleshooting. Got replacement units, still had the problem, still on v10.11.0. They published v10.12.0 and things seem MUCH more stable now. The new units are not bouncing offline and it seems the zwave traffic is MUCH less now. Though the old units were still acting up with the new firmware. I suspect anything connected to this device is going to be power cycled if the zwave network ever goes missing. I will be monitoring and letting Shelly know if anything changes. Changing from 2 star to 4 star, because at least they are no longer paperweights. Original Review: Using HA and zwave js, it seems these will randomly disconnect and reconnect. The problem is, when they disconnect from the zwave network, they will reset themself, thus powering down whatever is connected to them. This makes them completely useless for my environment. Using HA 2024.6.3, Zwave JS 3.8.0, Aeotec Z-Stick 7 Plus v7.20.2, and the devices themself running FW: v10.11.0, SDK: v7.19.1

Just works with Home Assistant and Security Features
Happy to see more devices using the Z-wave frequencies in protocols. There are too many smart devices in the 2.4 GHz band (Wifi, Bluetooth ,Zigbeee, etc) This device was perfectly found with Home Assistant and integrated/interviewed without problems. There are numerous monitoring items, and easy on/off operation. Currently, I'm using it to control power to my desk with monitors, KVMS, chargers, and other things and keep track of how much energy is being used so I can keep my home office / home lab as power efficient as possible.

Shelly Products Are solid
I started off with only one or 2 shelly products but as time has gone on they have proved themselves to be a really solid brand. That extends to this plug which stays connected even during cold weather in an uninsulated shed. I have been very happy with every Shelly device I have bought and these are no exception

Restarts constantly
I bought two of these to monitor the power usage with my washing machine and with an EV charger. This device seems to struggle with both, despite neither exceeding the usual 120V 12A load. It’ll flip off and restart during the middle of a washer load, leaving the drum full of water and not running a cycle anymore, and it’ll flip off many times during my EV charging until my EV decides the power source is unstable and stops trying to charge from it altogether.

Mostly performs well but is quirky
June 28, 2024 update: This device is extremely chatty with the default power reporting and will occasionally disconnect from the network and reset (power off) the device connected to it. We used this plug to power a white noise machine for sleeping and found it annoying when the thing would kick out in the middle of the night. Relegated it to less critical jobs around the house. Purchased this product to help build our my Z-Wave infrastructure and it's been performing great. You can't go wrong with Shelly products.
