I have one of these from years back. Thought I would try to find one for someone else for the holidays. Its a great tool for slicing, as the slices are the same size and it make it easier for all to cook evenly.

Sounded great but when I turned the knob it wouldn't adjust. I thought I'd use it when I just needed thicker slices, but then it wouldn't cut very well, so I threw it away

Ordered this for a friend who bakes her own bread. I already have one and use it frequently. Turns out however that she's left handed and there's no means by which this can be reset for her. Gave it to a 'righty' and she loves it.
