Good camera for the price

First why I bought the camera. I needed a PTZ to work with blue Iris. It does intergrates fast and seamless. PTZ could be a little less clunky but I can work with that. Tracking not bad I like it. I would like more options like to have alarm ( which is there) or spot light when motion is triggered. My biggest issue is with the false alram I have my sensitivity at 88 and still have way too numerous false humaniond triggered alerts ( no human is there). Welll worth it overall. would purhase if fits your requirments.

Great focus and follows objects as they enter and exit areas. Quiet operations and it records surprisingly fast!

It does only H265 video encoding, so the saved video files to PC won't play on Windows 11. That makes it completely useless for my purposes. Boavision's other cameras don't have that problem. I'm updating my review for a couple of reasons; 1. It is a nice camera, seems to be doing a good job picking up humans and animals and recording it to PC using the P2P Client (v6.5.7.5), and the WiFi signal is stronger compared to other cameras at the same location. 2. Further looking into it, the H.265 (HEVC) doing a better job at making high res (4K+) movies a smaller file size. A lot smaller. It is not Boavision's fault that Windows 11 (MS) failed to incorporate this basic function forcing users to jump thru hoops to make it work.

Absolutely. No zoom, and it's constantly connecting and disconnecting from my network. It freezes up all the time. I will never order another camera from you again.

Great resolution, great price!

Update 2 months more Sept 3 2026 The camera is constantly disconnecting from the network. I suspect it has a low quality WiFi transmitter that quickly loses it's transmission strength. Update after 6 weeks in use - June 29, 2026 The camera still works, but for yet unknown reasons I find I have to reboot the wireless extender that it is connected to several times a day to get it back online. Whether it's the camera or the extender I'm not sure yet but the other two cameras connected to the same extender are fine and do not need this frequent reboot. Overall for the price so far I am satisfied. The one thing that I wish was different is the way to view the image full size on your phone. On all my other cameras the image automatically becomes full screen when I rotate my phone but with this app you must press a control to enlarge the image. not a big deal, just a small thing. The image is pretty good but whether it's actually 8MP I'm not sure. I've only had the camera outdoors for about a week now and it has not rained so my biggest concern is how long will this camera last. I intend to come back to this review when the day comes that it fails and post that information. Cons: No way to change the IP address Nowhere to obtain the MAC address for the camera It seems like possibly 3k but not 4k No way to completely turn off all night lighting
