Seller, can you please supply the missing info about whether this product must be refrigerated before opened? (We'd like to purchase a high number.)

No, this product is stable at room temperature until opened.

how many packs in the $11.36 price?

I checked my orders and found on for rice pilaf an add on item, two packages for $3.79.

I have only eaten this rice in a casserole or in soup. I did not notice a sweetness.

After checking on Google, it said rice is gluten free and wheat free so it is suitable for people on a gluten-free diet. I hope this helps.

Great tasting, fast to make

I love Uncle Ben's original Long grain and Wild rice. I make it as a side dish and also make it as the base for making wild rice soup. YUM.
