If you've ever struggled with puckering, misaligned stitches, or fabric distortion during embroidery, this wash away Stabilizer is fantastic. It can be be easily cut to size, it hoops securely with your fabric providing excellent support without being bulky. It's perfect for light to medium density designs and you can layer it for heavier stitching. It's also beginner friendly (if you're new to embroidery, this makes the process so much smoother and less intimidating) and you can draw and print on it with no issues. The best thing about it though is that it actually dissolves properly and leaves no trace or residue to affect your sewing. You do need to use warm to hot water but it doesn't hang around once wet. Overall I highly recommend this stabilizer to machine and hand embroidery enthusiasts alike. If you're looking for a reliable, mess-free way to ensure perfect results, this is it.

Dec 2020 Further review. Just starting making Free standing lace ornaments for Christmas and I’ve currently completed 27. We can’t go away for Christmas this year due to COVID-19. This stuff is brilliant, still as good as ever and I’ve ordered more. As I said earlier this is as good as the most expensive ones I have used and quite frankly why pay more. I’m retired so watch what I spend. Oh and their threads are very good as well. Keep safe and well everyone and enjoy your hobbies. Jean I have been a machine embroiderer for some 20 years and particularly enjoy free standing lace projects which require a good quality, water soluble backing. It’s fair to say that WS has always been expensive, some more than others. When I saw this on Amazon I was delighted with the price but obviously it has to do the job and so I bought a roll to trial. I am more than delighted. A complex and dense free standing lace design stitched out perfectly on two layers ( my usual combination) with no tears or splits and has washed out well. I used warm water to wash out as I usually do with no problems. I am VERY PLEASED with this find and will be ordering more . For once it’s nice to find something reasonably priced in the UK.

I have embroidered 4 different lace items and all have embroidered beautifully with no issues-no stabiliser tearing, and the residues washes away so easily. Very happy with product, just ordered a larger width of the same stabilised as I had to overlap the stabiliser. Even that worked perfectly, just held the overlapped edge when it reached that part of the design-no issues. Good stabiliser, very useful!

Great stabiliser which I use with my embroidery machine. It may be Wash away but has tenacity to withstand heavy designs which call for complete removal of stabiliser. Price is a bit more expensive that other brands but it’s the only one I’ll use and trust

It was my first time using a stabilizer so I don't really have a benchmark to compare it too, but it allowed me to embroider on a very thick hoodie very nicely and it disolves 100% in water after 4 minutes, so I would say it does the job well.

Een niet "glibberige"wash away versteviger, die gemakkelijk in te spannen is. Ik heb deze versteviging gebruikt, zowel onderop, als bovenop mij stof, voor een bijzonder projekt. Zelfs dat is met dit materiaal boven verwachting gelukt. Kan, indien te klein (zoals voor mijn extreem grote hoops), gemakkelijk met dubbelzijdige tape vergroot worden. Dat lukt ook prima met deze wash away. Na het borduren het overtollige wegknippen. Daarna met water sproeien: net toveren.
