Works as described
I am using it to extend the HDMI monitor, mouse and IR remote control from my Lorex security camera NVR in the basement, to my Office upstairs.so 1 transmitter, 1 receiver, connected point to point via a cat 6 cable. The Lorex unit is designed to be used with a local monitor/mouse/IR remote. This allowed me to have the monitor remote from the NVR.I am also using a KVM so I can share the monitor and mouse with my computer, to save desk space and money.NVR>extender TX> cat 6 > extender RX > HDMI KVM > Monitro/mouse.The unit is a metal box, very solid. no play in any of the connectors

Works well over CAT6
This works well over a dedicated CAT6 line. Originally I tried using this over my existing 1Gbps CAT6 home network, while it technically worked the framerate wasn't that good and it caused my internet to become slow and unstable. However once I ran a dedicated CAT6 line from the sender to the receiver it has worked very well with steady high framerate. One other thing I noticed is that a cheap USB mouse would not work over this unit (I believe because it wasn't USB 2.0) but a newer USB mouse worked fine.

Worked for 2 months, then failed
I purchased the TX RX pair of KVM over IP devices. They worked pretty well or 2 months. After 2 months, the system spontaneously stopped working. Now the TX seems to be working, but the RX cannot connect to the TX. The ethernet interface on the RX is not coming up, even on an isolated switch. The hard reset buttons don't seem to do anything except force a reboot. The IP address on the TX is different than that given on a factory sticker. The RX is not transmitting packets at all.

It works so far with little hiccups
I hook it up it works however I did see in between a movie the signal again dropped and came right back hope it was just a hiccup I would need to spend more time in order to see If It was one time thing or IF it will be rock solid. I am hoping it will be rock solidBy the way this is for 4k signal @ 60 hz HDR 4:4:4

Works great
So far so good. I bought a cheaper set and had lots of problems. I plugged these in to the same cables and they are dramatically better.
