Descent: Lockdown 2020 (Old Glory Saga) Paperback – November 27, 2023

With so many 5 stars I was skeptical. But quickly won over. This is one of those page turners that make you think. You just read one more, then one more....then it gets you really thinking how much is based on reality because it takes place during Covid...then you wonder if this could happen to you, to us. GREAT BOOK.

I read this book in 2 days. I love the characters. This author writes without fear, and The Beast is perfect for how so many people have felt for so long. The last 4 years have been nothing but a puzzle, one in which you are missing the 1 piece to complete it. Wil that piece ever be found again? This book paints the picture of the beginning of the madness, the question is will it end? I am ready to pack up and hit the road away from it. Assaf Raz thank you for this book!

This was an interesting read. The premise being so different and so similar in ways that were experienced during the pandemic. Encourages the reader to think about so many different aspects while experiencing them with the MC. What is right? Should you pass on tips/information? How do you deal with friends, family, community, etc. when the extreme happens? How far is too far or does that even exist? The style almost reads like the MC's journal entries which while not my favorite delivery was an interesting change of pace.

This book together with the promise of the following to come, is the kind of books you realize that are going to have a huge impact on you and keep on being a part of your life for as long as the author keeps on writing this series of books… I was hooked by the storyline and the hidden stories to come, the characters, the complexity of the relationships and just couldn’t get enough of Tanner Washington. You cannot read this book without it activating your own thoughts and feelings in almost every single scene in the book. Cannot wait for the next book in the series to be released. A must read!!!

This was a wonderful reimagining of the events of 2020, telling the story of what might've happened if things were just a little different. With a spellbinding narrative that kept me turning pages to the very end. A wonderful book. Well done!

This book! Mercy! I couldn’t put it down! Talk about captivating! I couldn’t wait to witness Tanner Washington’s next move! And, is this fiction or true? And if it’s true, what am I being called to do? A must read—especially if you were impacted by the 2020 lockdown. Seriously…

A great read that left me with many questions regarding the year 2020. A highly recommended for readers who like alternate military thriller.
