will this tool cut through 25mm thick wood

The cutting mechanism is by a lateral motion on the front of the blade so it will go through 25mm wood as the blade is around 40mm. I used it to cut skirting board which was around 15mm.

Does this come with a case?

No it does not come with case. It comes in cardboard box.

I’m removing the grout between the tiles and worktop. The semi circle is must likely to be most suitable but is it ok for grout and how thick is it?

I know this is a late answer, this is the main reason why this was purchased: as any other grout removal tool never does the job, and this fab for the money Multi Tool did the job without fuss! Combined with a carbide blade - you're on a winner. Although, with cautious, as to prevent tile chips: measure the gout gap between the tiles and make sure the carbide with fit, otherwise it can cause chips, since it vibrates a lot, as apart from one chip for us, it did a really great job, and lad who used it was impressed, and since, it's been used for many things, plastic piping, reducing doors, laminate, door strips, timber and hardboard, it cuts many, many things.
