PMP Exam Prep Simplified: Based on PMBOK® Guide Sixth Edition

I have passed the exam studying with this book and doing the mandatory course (online) with the author of this book. I would strongly recommend it

Easy to use and very useful.

Simple and well structured guide. It doesn't go into too much detail hence why 'simplified' was added to the book title. My only grievance, other than typos, is the quality of questions. I found myself disagreeing with a handful of answers even after reading the explanation, mostly because the question was ambiguous due to grammatical mistakes. But if you do well with the questions, you should have confidence to do well in the exam. Also, I'm not convinced the author understands the difference between resource levelling and resource smoothing, he tends to lump them in together.

Honestly, this book gave me bit more confidence to face the quality of questions that may appear in exam. Followed most of advise for exam prep and passed in my first attempt and would recommend to read that chapter first though. I would have liked more if this book also covered bit more short questions (mostly with one line situation) then ask, "what project manager would do next", those are even more trickier as they don't elaborate on situation much and leave you to a no. of possible assumptions.

Highly recommended. I passed the test on my first try after about 60 hours of study spread over 6 weeks. The book covers enough to get you a pass on the exam but definitely not everything. Aside from this I also did some mock tests online but 90% of my study came from this book alone. If I was to criticize anything it would be that the book has a LOT of typos and errors but it gets the job done which is what you're after really.

Excellent book to study with PMBOK Guide. Well written and have the best mock questions at the end of each chapter. It also have 200 mock questions at the end.

Good study guide but I wouldn’t use it as your only source for studying for the exam.

I took the PMP the first time and was a hair away from passing. For my second attempt, I relied solely on this book to fill in the gaps. I did not read the PMBOK, but I work in a project management setting so I got quite a bit of hands on experience. Yes, there are grammar mistakes in this book. BUT this book really knits together a lot of concepts that you'd miss studying on your own. The exam tips are very helpful and it reads SO MUCH BETTER than the PMBOK. The author genuinely knows his stuff. Once you're done studying, get your hands on as many practice questions as you can and answer them. Really take the time to understand why you got something wrong. The PMP's questions are tricky and you can convince yourself quite easily away from the right answer. My tips: 1. Memorize the Process groups and knowledge area table by writing it down every day. In the beginning, you'll have to refer to the book. But by the end of the 2nd week, you'll have the whole thing memorized. After it's memorized, write down the table 3-7 times per week to make sure you don't forget. THIS WILL HELP YOU 2. Read this prep book carefully 3. Make flashcards of all the equations (provided in the last chapter of this book). Do these equations every day until you've memorized them. Keep doing them for maintenance until your test date. 4. Re-read this entire prep book and make short outlines for EACH process 5. Take the practice exam in the book. DONT write on the book, use a separate sheet to write your answers so you can use the test again later. 6. IF this if your first time, find a full practice exam on the internet and take it like it was the real test. The more you can do, the better. 7. Pass this god forsaken test 8. Profit

Diritto al punto e l'approccio situazionale delle domande alla fine di ogni capitolo e nel mock test è lo stesso dell'esame. Sicuramente raccomandato. Errori palesi di ortografia ma la qualità in sé del libro non viene messa in discussione. Prezzo concorrenziale nei confronti di altri blasonati testi per la preparazione dell'esame. Esame passato al primo tentativo.
