Oregon 72LGX072G 2 Pack Chainsaw Chain Loops - 20"

Got sick of the "big box" store chains, and decided to give this "full chisel" chain a try. Looks very sharp, but the cutting teeth are exactly identical to the big box chain it is replacing. Well still the sharp, and steel quality could be better? Well wont know until I pull 2 links out. yes thats right this is the exact same chain as the old one .375 x .050 x 72 links, except the new one is actually too long by about an inch. Now I did also purchase an Oregon 20" versa bar, maybe the bar is different? nope exact same length, and even shape as the original (Echo CS590 saw). Some how the links are just a tiny bit longer than the original. I will update on performance once I shorten them, and use them.

After hitting some embedded metal and really chewing up the chain on my Stihl 044, I decided to try these instead of driving 15 miles to get a new Stihl chain. These don't seem to cut as aggressively as my old chain but a little judicious filing should fix that. All and all a great bargain!

Have cut 3 pickup loads without sharpening Cuts as good as the original stihl chain possibly better
