Meraviglioso!!!

It DOES work, you just have to do it right
There are plenty of reviews that say it doesn't work or doesn't suction, etc. It DOES work, but you have to do it right. The hose does come a bit kinked and that's annoying, but I find that if you compress the kinks a bit the opposite way and hold them for a while (before using), they open enough to work. It works best if you attach the end with the kinks closest to the actual intake device you put in the water. The way siphons work is you have to fill the hose completely with water before trying to start the siphon. If you don't, the air will prevent it from working. I'm guessing a lot of people are skipping this step. Fill the hose completely with water and make sure there are no air bubbles. Then hook the hose up to the intake device on the pool cover and the other end to the pump. Bring the red pump, attached to the hose, out of the water with the hose and to the ground level/a level below the intake, then give it a good squeeze. A good siphon should start up. Push the intake device to the middle of the cover. It rained for 3 days straight recently, we ran this siphon several times during and after the rain and now the cover is almost completely dry.
