Recently purchased a cold plunge and got these for that purpose. Living in Florida, needed the larger ice packs, so I was pretty excited to try out the extra large ice blocks. You need at least 4 to get 80 gallons of water down 20 degrees in temperature. The size of the ice blocks is great – they last a pretty long time, which is perfect for those hot, humid days. The mold itself is easy to fill, and I appreciate the simplicity of the design. But....getting the ice out is a bit of a hassle. Sometimes the blocks don’t release easily, and I have to run the mold under warm water, which kind of defeats the purpose when you’re trying to keep things cold. Plus, it takes up a lot of freezer space, so if you’ve got a smaller freezer, be prepared to rearrange things. Overall, the ice blocks are fantastic when you finally get them, but the effort to get them out and the space it takes up are definite drawbacks. It’s good, but not quite the convenient solution I was hoping for with my cold plunge.

We got this because we are cheap and don't want to get a chiller, and honestly? With these we don't have to! They are incredibly durable, filled them and put them in the freezer and within a couple hours they are ready for the ice bath or any Frozen product including coolers, camping coolers, tackle boxes, you name it! It's in light silicone so they are easy to wash and store, and every house needs to have one of these!

Used this for cold plunge. Works great. Suggest getting multiple.
