Bloch Dance A0185 Covert Elastic Ballet/Pointe Shoe Elastic, Pink, One Size

I purchased these for my daughter who needed to crisscross her elastic on her point shoes due to twisting in the shoe Some of the other brands of invisible or covert elastic are very flimsy and rolled when she would try to put the shoe on. This elastic is very sturdy and easy to sew, and we did not have the rolling problems with it. I’ve purchased it many times and it’s a great pointe shoe elastic. The elastic is very sturdy and didn’t come undone when I was sewing my pointe shoes. It stayed together and is such a pretty color.

I would say it’s worth the money. If you sew the elastic crisscrossed you will only be able to use it for one pair of pointe shoes but if you just sew it straight across your ankle you could get two pairs out of it. It’s a pretty great product. I expected it to be hard to sew onto the pointe shoe although that wasn’t the case it was surprisingly easier to sew compared to regular elastic. I do like how it’s not super noticeable while wearing tights. I’ve only used it for about 2-3 weeks now but so far it’s held up well I will be sure to update this within the next 3 months to let you know how it’s going.

Amazing!! I bought this for my pointe shoes and I love the "covert" aspect of it!! They give an almost see-through effect that really blends with the tights and lets the ribbon pop out more. They are stretchy but not like SUPER stretchy. There isn't enough elastic to be able to criss cross them on both shoes, but there was more than enough for one line on each shoe. So it isn't super soft so if you're wanting a more comfortable elastic I wouldn't get this, but it isn't bad I don't find uncomfortable at all. Overall I highly recommend this for pointe shoes!!!

I thought this was regular ballet elastic but it has ridges and transparent lines. The covert description I overlooked when I ordered it. It looks great and was just as easy to sew as the regular elastic. My daughter likes how it feels on the shoes.

Maybe I didn't pay attention to the description, but this elastic is wider than I am accustomed to using on my pointe shoes and it is like a mesh, which I was not expecting. However, I find both of these traits are a plus! The thickness of the elastic means the pressure on my heels is better distributed, and the mesh material made it significantly easier to sew onto my shoes. Excited about this find!

I've used them for my 2nd pair of pointe shoes (don't judge my sewing!!). Since I had to get harder shoes this time, the larger elastic really helped hold the shoe on my foot better. It's also easy to sew since you can see through it. I find it looks a lot less bulky also than full elastic or ribbons.

Just what we need for my daughters block ballet shoes. Really pleased with it and highly recommend. Good quality.
