I'm very pleased I've bought a lot of fountain pens on the internet and this one performs quite well especially given how cheap it is.I can already tell the ink you choose is going to make a big difference in this pen because of the feed system.It's not amazing It's not the best pen I own but at the price I'm very willing to stick it in a jacket pocket or clip it to a sketchbook and if something happens I'm not too worried so I bought a couple spares.Consistent line weight, comfortable size in my hand and I have medium hands for a man.I really liked that the cap posts securely, provides additional length.

Pen didn't come with instructions so I want to start with a brief summary if you're having this issue:1. Unscrew the pen body.2. Remove the empty ink container and and its attached suction device (used for adding your own ink if you'd like) and set aside.3. Take one of the included ink cartridges and firmly press it onto the small nob shape at the nib half of the pen.4. Screw the 2 pieces back together.For me, ink flow was almost immediate.My review: The pen is very average. The nib has a sharp point that does not flex like a traditional nib to create a wider line. The ink flowed almost too well and was consistently bleeding through my paper and visible on the other side. I estimate the average line width was similar to that of a .07 pen. I was able to get a finer line by turning the pen upside down but the comfort was not ideal when I did this as it tended to scrape the paper. The weight of the pen was good and felt solid with a cold smooth surface but the area your fingers grip is a bit small for my liking.I would say you will have a very similar experience with a regular fine point pen you'd typically pay less than $1 for at Walmart. If you are really looking for a nice fountain pen, I don't think this is it. You get what you pay for here. I probably won't return it (since it was only $5) but I wouldn't recommend it either.

So basically it a great pen , you have to load up the ink cartridges into the pen . Hold it upright or so for about 1 minute or more if you have some time . Then once it’s fully filled into the pen . You can use it as normal . Also if your new to fountain pens . You can decide and pick the position of the pen when writing so you can get the right amount of ink out . If it’s sideways writing you might get a very thin writing or less ink performance. But holding it with the tip vertical seems to me that works the best . So good luck . Worth the money since it do comes with 2 refillable ink cartridges and 10 (5 black 5 blue ) disposable ink cartridges. So for the price it is worth it to me and I give it 5 stars .

I purchased a fountain pen to write in my journal, as I felt that it would add some antique appeal. The pen was lighter than I imagined. It did not take much to figure out how to fill the cartridges. Once I started writing, I fell in love. It glides easily off the page and improves the appearance of my penmanship. I would purchase this pen again.
