Echo Dot Battery Base,Doryum 10000mAh Power Bank for Echo Dot 2nd Generation-Black

I don't usually write many reviews, but this one merits it. I got this because my mom has ALS and is bedbound. Before she was bedbound I bought an echo dot for every room she was going to be in, so I could call and "drop in" so I could instantly be talking to her. Now I am using the echo dots as an all day intercom while I take care of her. My big problem was this: I was using an echo dot hanging off a really good (12,000 mAh) charger, but she would eventually fall asleep and when I finally went to my bedroom I needed to plug into AC. The only way to do this was to initiate a new "drop in" to her bedroom which causes a noise loud enough to wake her up, or to sneak into her bedroom (creaky hardwood floors not helping) and whisper a call out from there. In the morning, same thing, if I woke up early and wanted to quietly get some breakfast, I couldnt unplug the unit from AC in the bedroom and take it with me without the same problem. This totally resolved the matter. I can now carry it around with me wherever I go in the house and charge it in any room, especially in my bedroom when its time for me to go to bed, without having to initiate a new call. It does in fact last a long time and it does in fact charge fast. I thank the designers for such a useful product and helping me resolve my echo issue! One final note, she's pretty weak sometimes and I need to be able to hear her, the unit is very loud and does not compromise the sound. Thank you!

Good product. Works well and meets my expectations.Negatives...1) When you unplug it after charging, it turns the Echo off. You must restart the Echo after each recharging. Makes it difficult to grab and go.2) Good luck with warranty issues. There is no phone number, email address, or mailing address included on the box or instructions. Not sure it is possible to contact them.3) Reading through the reviews, it is my opinion that many of the 5 star reviews are phoney. Many are obviously written by the same person. Take their advise carefully.Positive...1) Time to charge from 0% to 100%...5 hours.2) Run time with Echo on standby...23 hours.3) Run time with continuously playing audio...20 hours.All in all a good product.

Great product. I like my dot - it allows me to have an inexpensive Alexa device and make use of my great Bose bluetooth speakers. I kept my dot in the kitchen and brought the Bose speaker out to the patio along with my Alexa remote. But it turns out the Amazon remote is not a great product. very prone to fail (I'm on my 3rd replacement). So what's a Dot owner to do? Put it on a battery pack. And thats exactly what this product is. And it works great. Now I bring my Dot AND speaker out to the patio. The dots runs for hours on the battery with no issues. In fact, my speaker runs out of juice before the dot does thanks to the heft 10 Amp-hour capacity. Highly recommend.

Very useful when u only have one echo but a big house. You can now bring your echo anywhere you go. To the outside, and anywhere you want in the house. I use it everywhere I go now in the house and the battery is also very long lasting too. Don't need to worry about the battery dying. It is extremely large!

Easy to set up, makes my little dot portable. We have the Tap, but it only receives and doesn't transmit bluetooth. We have bluetooth speakers we wanted to have broadcast our music from outside. With this helpful gizmo, we can tote the dot outside, tell Alexa to play our playlist and it plays over our bluetooth speakers.

I love my battery base, I'm able to take my Echo Dot anywhere there's Wifi. I was going to buy another dot, but for right now I can just take it with me from room to room thanks to this battery base. Overall it's great, but I did notice it doesn't sound as loud inside of the base.

Works great. Only thing is it covers the light ring on top.of thenecho dot so fromnfar away you can't tell if Alexa heard you call her name.
