Great Sound, Beautiful monitor.
I ordered these to pair with my Focusrite Scarlet 2i2, and these things have range. I only do audio production as a hobby and game with this system and these monitors complete the build, from low volume to cranked up agitating the neighborhood, these are balance all the way through. For the price you will be pleased.

6-Inch (306PMKII) Keep It Simple Stupid
After months of research even going into tons of stores. I'll cut to the chase of my simple small setup that didn't cost a fortune.2 - 6-Inch (306PMKII) I'm wondering what the 8's sound like1- SMSL100 DAC Money well spent (Bluetooth, Fiber optics, and supposedly from other reviews I can add a subwoofer to the rca out.) Will update this in the future.Cables2 - 25ft xlr cables I was tired of using boring rca cables2 - power cables for the speakers Obviously included1 - power cable for the DAC Obviously included1 - Fiber optic cable from my tv to the DAC. Why? because I noticed a big difference in sound quality from using bluetooth since I have had these.Since August no subwoofer added to my system but I do plan on getting one eventually. That is all that I am using. No overpriced home audio equipment. I don't have thousands of wires running around my room or wall or cottage that I live in. I use two remotes one for the tv and one for the DAC. I can run my pc via Bluetooth to the DAC but recently I noticed a big difference in quality from using the fiber optic cable. So I run Amazon Music from my tv now(Settings set to HD and up quality in the app). I went with 25ft cables so I can move them around in my cottage with no problem. I have cranked this up full max and have not noticed much distortion. I do this on a Monday when the neighbors are at work and I pretty much have the grounds to myself. It gets loud and the bass is pretty intense. Subwoofer will be next and I'm not sure what I want to do with that. Either a JBL to pair it or to try a $100 compact sub a space savor and to learn from it. I listen to anything that doesn't suck so sorry to you mumble rap crap fans. Classic Rock to the 60's even real hip hop 2 Pac Ja Rule etc...... The speakers are crisp and just right. Klipsch was too tingy. Kef and others out of my price range but sounded incredible to but I wanted a simple small setup and this fit the bill. Pictures and video coming soon 1-20-2023

Keyboardists, Stop looking. This is the one you want!
I wish I would have had this model as my first studio monitors. Clear, honest sound reproduction without any background noise issues! I have previously used Alesis 5” and Yamaha HS8 as my workhorse for reference and monitoring. Both have their pros and cons, but honestly the purity of sound you get from these JBL 6” has me hooked. GREAT job JBL! I have had no hiss nor other issues from these as I have had those issues in the past with the other branded powered monitors. Also the ability (if needed) to trim out too much low or high on the monitor makes them a keyboard musicians’ dream. All styles that I’ve played through them sound like it’s supposed to sound. Rich and clear; great midrange clarity with just the right amount of high and low to reproduce what I need to hear. The directional range for the tweeter is broad enough that I could even mount above my ear level and still achieve great monitoring. Again, stop looking and get these! Thank you JBL for a wonderfully engineered monitor here.

Good soundstage
I Initially bought the 8" monitor and I determined the size is unesisary for my 12x10 foot listening room. Instead I got a pair of the JBL 6" monitor and I am happy with them after returning one damaged open box monitor and this time paying the extra for a new one. Highly recommend these powered monitors.

Entry level Hi-Fi speakers
Equipped with integrated power amplification and a user-friendly DSP control on the back panel, this speaker effortlessly creates an accurate sound space in the near field without the need for additional sound calibration. The thoughtful design translates into great tonal performance in this price range. The low-end response stands out, offering excellence within this budget. While the high-end is slightly soft, that a well balanced system. It provides a comfortable experience during my extended music listening sessions. However, one minor drawback I've noticed is a subtle 'z' noise from the tweeters, which persists even when I turn off the input source. This seems a design issue and JBL let it pass the production test. Anyway, this hasn't been an issue for me as long as music is playing.

These Monitors are amazing.
I'm not a music producer. I was looking for a way to play my guitar through my computer and not blow the neighbors roof off every time I flipped on the amp. So I did a lot of research into a "budget" set of monitors. It was between these and some Yamaha's that were a bit more expensive. When I finally got my setup together and plugged in my guitar. I was blown away by the sound these were making. These are almost too much for the room I'm in but you can still turn them down and it still reproduce some nice tones (to my old ears anyways).I use these to listen to music as well. And they sound quite good even without a subwoofer. Though I mainly listen to rock, blues, jazz. I've had them for about 3 months and put them through their paces and so far they've been holding up nicely. I'd definitely recommend these for those on a budget and still want quality sound reproduction.

Annoyed!
So my son asked for this speaker for his Christmas gift and I was so excited to get him the one thing that he really wanted but then the package came in the manufacturer box making it very obvious what was in the box and my son so happened to be the one to pick up the box at the door so now Christmas is ruined and I don’t even want the speaker no more!
