Mini Drill Press, Benchtop Electric Drill Press, 795 Motor, B10 Chuck

This tool is exactly what they say it is and performs perfectly for exactly what it is. This said, you must understand the limitations of it's speed adjustment system. It is not belt based, it is voltage based. For those that don't know what that means, with a belt system, the slower you make the drill go, the higher the torque. This is best because hard materials like metal require a slower speed and higher torque. A voltage based RPM drill reduces speed while also reducing torque. This seriously reduces the depth one can drill into hard materials. This can be compensated to an extent by small bites and clearing the hole repeatedly but do no expect this drill to do any hard work. That said I am happy with it for what it was meant to do. Just don't expect it to go through a 1/4" of steel.

Absolutely terrific!! Super smooth and precise. Surprisingly high quality throughout. WAY more quality than I was expecting. Very high tolerances. Strong motor. Very very quiet operation. Pair with a top end mini vise from DSPIAE or Stedi or similar for the ultimate in precision mini drilling [I am using Godhand drill bits] I can't believe this thing costs so little. If you're looking for a NICE, BAD ASS TOP LEVEL micro/mini tabletop drill press for model building/Gunpla/RC etc, GET THIS ONE ASAP.

An interesting little mini drill press. Not crazy about the speed control being on the AC adapter. I also don't care for the fact that half the motor housing is kinda thin plastic. I have a quality, vintage jewelers/watchmakers mini drill press that is about twice as tall with a motor 2-3 times more powerful, but table rises up to the drill instead of the drill lowering to the table. This one is easier to use and good enough for most things I need to use a small drill press. I don't care for the drill press vice included. Cheaply made and a bit large for this press. That's fine as I already had a better vice.

I found that this basic yet functional mini drill is nicely designed and constructed. The motor and chuck spin without any noticeable vibrations. The guide shafts look like good quality metal and seem precise enough for hobby work. I also like being able to select the speed at the power supply. Here are some of my issues with it. I removed the allen head screw from the sliding stop and replaced it with a knurled knob. I think the manufacturer should have done that because it's something you would adjust often. Mine did not come with the base alignment post as shown in their videos (they call it a "stick"), but I don't see why it was even necessary, which is perhaps why they eliminated it. One complaint is that the included drill bits were scattered in their plastic box and when I rearranged them found some sizes were missing and some duplicated. Someone in the factory must have had a similar problem and apparently filled it with the correct number of bits but mistakenly duplicated some of them. It's a bit (no pun intended) disappointing because the smaller sizes are missing. The RPM table they provide does not match mine at all: 12V - 1470 15V - 1830 16V - 1950 18V - 2160 19V - 2310 20V - 2430 24V - 3000

Bought a returned one from Amazon. $35. The person that had it messed up the screw and threads that adjust the hight and left right. It being aluminum I knew patience and running the screw half turn at a time back and forth till all the way in would clean it out. Yes it worked great. I like it, drills a clean strait hole. As others stated did not come with the base alignment post. If you look closely at the picture you will see the post goes all the way through the metal block. Well it cant since the hole was not drilled all the way through. So they didn't install it instead of sending the pieces back to machine it out. Does not matter to me since I have a 6' drill press and never use a guide, just use a square. I really like it and it can drill through just about anything I have tried. Users who never used a drill press will have issues trying to use it as like a hand held drill forcing it to drill. Slow and stead does it. For metal might need to use a lubricant.

Just what I've been looking for. Worked great and is very small which is all I needed for small projects. Doesn't seem to be commercially made but is good quality. Improvement that could be made: Mine didn't come with a adjustment alignment rod as the video shows. I'd update the video or possibly mine is missing it when it should be? There are a few things that need to be assembled or added onto the product. Better instructions could be provided or a call out to the video. I used pictures from others to do a lot of that before ever finding the video. The option to adjust the speed through the power box is nice but if it could somehow be on the drill press itself would be better. Lastly a place to put the chuck key would be nice if that could be done. Maybe a hole in the back it could sit in or something.

There is GOOD & BAD About this product Please read before you buy one. GOOD things 1) It has aluminium base which is great 2) rubber feets which makes it stable, 3) The main parts are firm and makes it precise 4) The lever has a nice rubber grip 5) It has a 775 motor which is widely used and available 6) it comes with a power supply and drill bits and extra SPST switch in case if it gets damaged because of it's AMPS 7) IT IS PRETTY POWERFUL for it's size BAD things 1) The motor cover and the top cover , all the green parts are 3D printed which looks cheap 2) It used a timing belt and pulley system but the belt is not easy to find as it is a different kind not common. 3) The power supply gets easily damaged if you use it for long time or if you put more load 4) It uses 775 motor not 795 as mentioned by the seller 5) The price is too high 6) the seller send a UK plug power cord and I want to use it here in the UAE. I would love if the seller shares 3D STL files and extra 3D printed parts along with an extra belt.

Tout d'abord, l'article est arrivé extrêmement bien emballé : aucun risque de dommage durant le transport. Bravo pour cet aspect. Ensuite, la taille de l'appareil est idéale pour moi étant donné que je ne vais m'en servir que pour faire des meubles miniatures. Je ne crois pas qu'il puisse être utilisé pour autre chose que des petits projets. L'ensemble est assez pesant pour la taille, ce qui indique qu'il y a très peu de plastique et qu'il est solide. Le socle est stable. Toutefois, je ne l'ai pas encore testée concrètement. Je l'ai seulement déballée, mise en route, et testé les vitesses de rotation pour vérifier que tout fonctionnait bien. Je posterai des mises à jour si je constate quelque défaut que ce soit.

This thing works perfectly for the small pieces I am working with. Definitely worth it.
