Can you use this for shorter distances as well as at the full length? Yes, you can use the this for distances shorter than 85ft! It can be set up as short as you'd like. The longer the distance, the more slack, wiggle and challenge. The shorter the distance the sturdier the line. What's the best size tree to use this with? The best size is a tree with 12" diameter. If the tree moves when the line is pulled tight, it is probably too small . What is the weight limit of this slackline? It can handle up to 300lbs, with a maximum tension of 4 tons. What weather conditions should you take this down for? Since the ratchet is mechanical and has moving parts, it will extend the life of the ratchet to take it down in rain, snow, or other inclement weather. Great slackline
Don't waste your money on the name brand expensive lines, this one is choice. Very durable, never had a problem with anything tearing or the crank releasing unexpectedly. Have had 4 people sitting on this line (~750lbs) and it was perfectly fine.

Awesome budget slackline
I love this slackline! It has performed very well for the past 8 months and not a single problem has occurred. If you want something to try out before you start using highline webbing or you're just getting into the activity, this is an excellent choice. A few of my friends have already picked one up as well after playing around on mine. Very satisfied.

The high-line set-up shown in the product pictures is NOT SAFE.I did not purchase this product, however the image in this post that shows a slackline wrapped around a rock and extending out over a large drop off is not a safe system. DO NOT attempt to rig a high-line without supervision of an experienced rigger.
