They send me a used one instead of a new one which I paid for.
Its a pretty easy installation. But the product I received was clearly used by someone else (Marks and scratches) . I decided to keep it and not return it because I don't have the energy to go through the process of returning and waiting for new ones to arrive. Also, the measuring paper was bit off because it was wrinkled up - I suspect it was the person who used it before they wrinkled the measuring paper.Giving it a 3 star just for the given reasons above - its annoying to receive a used product when I clearly thought I bought a new one.If you are luckier than I am to get a new one than its a solid rack with easy installation. Just follow instruction and don't skip steps.

Perfect for getting my bike out of the way
This stand is rock solid and was very easy to install. Be sure to mount it appropriately (to the studs). I live in a small apartment and would store my bike near the door, where it was in the way of the narrow hall there. I used this stand to hang my bike well out of the way, so that it is 6"+ above my head in the hall and is still easily retrievable. I have steel studs and used the appropriate self drilling screws to mount the stand. It keeps the bike well away from the wall and is a dream come true for the money.

Your bike will never for over again
If you're like me, you've tried many different ways to store your bicycle and been very frustrated. I've been looking for a way to store my bike that doesn't involve putting screws and anchors into my ceiling, or doesn't require me to lift it up high in order to store it. I wanted something that would just get my bike off the floor and neatly out of the way without it constantly falling over. This product fits the bill because I can choose how high to mount it onto the wall. I just went up about 2 ft and now I've gained back all of that floor space and my bike never falls over. It has solved all the problems I was looking to solve which is really all that I can ask for. I will say that if you're mounting this product into a wall that is not an exterior wall but has drywall instead, It's best to attach this product to studs, however, if you have to go into drywall then I think a set of really good drywall anchors will still do the trick because bikes today aren't really that heavy. But that would be the case with any other product you use as well. I also really like the fact that the two shelves provide space to put the items that I'm always looking to take with me when I ride my bicycle which are my bike lock, helmet and a bottle. My bike looks like the one in the product pictures, but one thing that is unclear to me is how someone would mount a bike that doesn't have a bar that comes across the top. Nonetheless, if you have a bike that does have a bar that comes across like the one shown in the pictures, this will be a great solution and I think it's a good value for the money.

Heavy but not heavy duty
First, note that this bicycle wall mounting rack is going to work best with bicycles that have horizontal top tubes. There are no provisions for mounting on an angle. The rack is crafted from cut and formed mild steel plate. It's heavy but the design doesn't do a good job of taking advantage of the material so it isn't nearly as strong as it could be. I'd respect the 33 lb limit specified in the manual. While mine was well packaged it arrived with one of the hooks bent and a big gash right in the front on top where you'll always see it. Careful inspection of the packaging showed the damage must have existed before it was even put in the box. This kind of thing is never a good sign and reflects poorly on the manufacturer. The threads on one of the weld studs was also damaged and I had to use a die to rescue it. This rack was mishandled before packaging.Even though the design uses wall channels to connect to wall studs there is no lateral adjustability of the carriage. It would have been easy to include a few inches of lateral adjustment and would have made the rack much more versatile as to where it could be placed. As is, you better be happy with where it ends up after aligning to the wall studs. My summary of this rack is that it is heavy, poorly designed, overpriced, and low quality. I took down my old wall rack which sells for $10 to give this one a try. The old one is better in every way (it can even be folded up flat when not in use) so I'll be putting it back up tomorrow.
