The good news is these Blum 110 Degrees Screw On Self Closing Compact 33 Hinges are an exact replacement for broken Blum hinges of the same model. Broken hinges are easy to remove and replacements are easy to install using Phillips tip screwdrivers on two woodscrews and one bolt. I do like the hinges because they are quiet and work smoothly (when not broken). The bad news is eventually an internal plastic part breaks and the hinge will no longer hold itself open. Instead, even one broken hinge tends to pull a cabinet door partially closed. 68 of these Blum hinges are used on my kitchen cabinets' doors. After about 7 years, the first hinge broke. I bought a replacement pack of 10 hinges. Over the next 3 years, I used all those replacements plus one from an 8-pack of replacements. So now, after about 9 years, I have used 11 replacement hinges. For the price of about $2 each, it's worth having a bag of these replacement hinges on hand. I expect to replace about 4 per year out of 68 in my kitchen based on the breakage rate.

My cabinets are 15 years old, still in great condition but a few of the Blum hinges had started to make a loud cracking noise if I opened them all the way and then closed them. I was able to switch out only this part that is recessed in the door and it fixed the problem like new. They fit into the half of the hinge that is installed on the face frame of the cabinets just perfectly, so I did not have to replace that part which was really nice. I did watch a youtube video showing how to separate the hinge and remove the door from the cabinet and then to remove this part and replace it. It was very helpful to see how to go about it first and it was very easy following those instructions to switch them out. Used the exact same screw holes and screws. Update: I replaced several hinges in my kitchen in 2023. At that time this package was just under $30. Today in 2025 I need a few more and this same package is just under $50. Wow.

Note that these are only the part that fits into the 35mm hole in the door. You'll have to reuse the part that's attached to the doorframe, but that's usually a good thing. Also you'll have to reuse the old screws or but new ones. These are only the cup hinge and nothing else. But they make great economical replacements with no waste. Just what you need and nothing else. Just know that these are not complete if you are looking to install new hinges on a new project. You'll have to buy the mounting plate and screws in addition to these. Wish I could give you the piles of them that I've got sitting here from all the broken hinges I've replaced in the past 10 years! I'm sure I'll be replacing these before long too. Great hinges until the little plastic piece inside breaks, then the door won't stay closed. There are really no other direct-fit alternatives.

These are OEM replacements. A little more expensive than the knockoffs, but you are getting a hinge that you know will replace what you have. Check out the star ratings. When I bought there were no 1 or 2 stars, one 3 star and all the rest 4 or 5. That doesn’t happen for many products. Definitely recommended. I would buy again without hesitation.
