i have XL/LG/SM of these products; saves on ice and ease of use. You may or may not recoup costs of ice vs. cost of arctic ice; but you will gain convenience of having dedicated product in your freezer ready to go in a moments notice. There is on caveat that kinda bums me out JUST a BIT and that is the indention of the product if you lay it flat; kinda impossible to have steady drinks on it (if you use it at the bottom of a cooler). There is a multitude of ways you could use these products and they will keep your drinks/products near icicle cold. If you place a drink next to it or ice; do not be surprised if you have a nice 'chunk' that is iced together. Depending on the size of the arctic ice and cooler/bag your using will kinda dictate the 'cool' factor. I have used the 5lb in a Bison/Brute Cooler and have gotten 32 degrees up until 4 days in controlled environment w/o ice (garage). I've use 2.5 and 1.5 lbs for smaller ice bags and have gotten minimal 12-18 hours easily of gr8 coldness (w/ very lil bit of ice). I do so recommend this version of the arctic series and I do feel they are a good investment, more so in convenience and ease of use versus having to go out of your way for ice sometimes. I like them and intend on buying more as time goes on, recommend all sizes for whatever need you have!

It takes a while to freeze for the first time - but it takes an even LONGER time for it to melt when being used! Compact and easy to handle - and easy to make room for in a cooler.

4 stars because 1 month isn't long enough to really speak on the durability but I really like it. Freeze every night and keeps my lunch decently cold for up to 8 hours (unfortunately my job helped my test that long hold time). Would definitely purchase another one

We used Arctic Ice Chillin Brew 28 degree packs in our Grizzly cooler which was in the cockpit of our sailboat covered with a space blanket and a cushion. Temperatures ran in the high 80's to low 90's. We started out with three bags of ice cubes, 8 12 oz bottles of water frozen, one 16 oz frozen bottle of water. On the fifth day, we still had 1.5 bags of ice cubes left, having used the rest for drinks on our trip. The frozen bottles of water were starting to melt, but still cold enough to keep food and drinks in our other coolers cold for the trip home. Also used Chillin Brew to keep drinks cold for day outings. Nice to not have a puddle of water in the cooler at the end of the day. Very happy with Chillin Brew performance and recommended it to our friends.

I bought 2, just in case...but this fits perfectly in the top and bottom of my igloo cool series 12qt hardshell personal cooler. I work 12 hours and commute lengthy trips daily. So this keeps everything perfectly cold all day, after 17 hours it's still at 39 degrees Fahrenheit when I unpacked it. A bit spendy, but we'll worth it. These are mediums.

I bought several of these over about three months in various sizes. The first ones I bought were the large sizes for a 64 quart Yeti. They seemed to work well; they held the cool for a while and were a lot less messy than regular ice. The next ones I bought were smaller sizes for smaller coolers. All of the smaller and medium sizes leaked. I had to store them in the freezer with the fill valve upward so they wouldn't leak blue goo into the freezer. I tried using a solder iron to melt the (supposedly sealed) fill valve shut where it was leaking, but they continued to leak. If you plan on driving or flying through different altitudes, they will also leak when you experience pressure/altitude changes, as I discovered on a drive from Southern to Northern California, up the I-395 through the Eastern Sierras.

We have put these a good test in an Engel 65. On a summer road trip, with the cooler strapped to a hitch rack outside in Florida to NC highway heat!!! We used the purple for a frozen side and blue/green for refrigerated side. Each side had 1 ziploc bag of ice. The frozen was still frozen and refrigerated still refrigerated 12 hours later. On our return, put all refrigerated and made an overnight stop. 36 hours later, still cold for a ice cold beer from the cooler. These work!!!! We used the purples ones in soft Yeti, but did not fare as well over 36 hours, however they never completely froze in the freezer we had them in so will try that again

Kept items cold for longer than most other ive packs.

I bought these because they fit perfectly along the sides of my coolers. They are nice and thin so they don't take up much space. However, they thaw pretty quickly. I would buy the colder "pink" models next time.

Seems good for 2 or 3 days, haven't tested it longer.

Bought this product after reading reviews and watching video. I am really wondering were the reviews and videos came from cause I have found they are not at all accurate. This product does not work as hyped. These packs will not last more than 4 hours. I used cheap $5 ice packs prior to buying these and I have gone back to them cause they easily go for 12 hours in the same cooler and out of the same freezer. Save your money don't believe the videos or reviews.
