yes, we even prefer this double stroller for its size verses the $650.00 BOB double stroller which is huge and takes up too much space in a trunk.

Does this stroller fit through doorways?

Yes it has fit through every doorway we have tried. Malls, resturants, etc...

Do the canopies detach from the stroller at the back (so they can be pulled down all the way in front of a child, for example)?

I do not think they detach, they also don’t pull down all the way over the child. This is a lightweight, smaller stroller that doesn’t have the “complete” functions of a larger stroller. Given that, this IS my favorite stroller because of its ease of pushing, lightweight, and easy to pack in the trunk space. Highly recommend. Thank

the seats are supposed to recline individually how is that possible with the stroller?

Each seat has its own strap and buckle that makes it possible to adjust the seats individually. However, the sears don’t recline very far. This isn’t a very good “napping” stroller.
