I ordered this bulb in the fall of 2018. I only had a single bulb socket in my garage and it was never bright enough. This was a last ditch effort before spending a lot more on something like T9 ballasts. Very happy I gave it a shot! It's been brightly illuminating my garage for the last two and a half years. I haven't given a more serious lighting upgrade a thought ever since I bought this bulb.Only negative would be that my wife doesn't like the coolness of the light this bulb puts off. At night, our garage sorta stands out on our street if the light is on with the door open since it's so bright and blueish. I personally don't mind it though.Note: do NOT look directly at this bulb when it's on! I've never found a globe or anything to put it in. The array of individual LEDs are fully exposed with no diffuser. This can imprint the pattern of lights on your eyes for quite a while if you look directly at it, especially if your eyes are adjusted for the dark!

This is a very reasonably priced LED light. It fits in any standard light bulb receptacles. I could not believe how bright it is. It only uses 50 watts which is half of what you would normally need just for a minimum amount of light in your garage and it is far more than 3 times the brightness. I was thinking I was going to put 6 of them in my garage so I can do my wood working. I put one right in the center of the garage and it is more than enough. This really is not a light that you can use in your living room, it is like sunlight. It is for Garage, or someplace that you need a lot of light. It is also not for outdoor because it is not waterproof. But if you have a garage, barn, warehouse or something like that, I definitely suggest this light.

I have a 3 bay barn/garage, and three of these have transformed the space. I also put two in another area. You can do anything in there at night now. Equivalent to putting 4x4 fluorescent panels up. I have had one out of 5 burn out in the year that I've had them. And by burn out I mean none of the little leds light up - it is completely dark. I find that most LED bulbs don't last nearly as long as the box would lead you to believe, regardless of the manufacturer, so this is no different. I would say buy extra, because I hate mix and match bulbs. The colors are never the same.

My parents had on of those old halogen giant bulb, lighting up their driveway and back yard... They took me about their higher than normal electric bills, so I did some looking around and found their old light never turned off! Bought a new solar switch which helped but I knew this bulb was old tech. Found this on on Amazon and knew it would make a difference. Didn't know how bright it was, but familiar with the benefits of LED lighting. Worked perfectly. Actually even brighter than expected!! Warning... Had to buy an adapter to make it fit in the larger halogen socket for $10 but worth the cost and saving began immediately. Good purchase. Happy with the results. Parent are saving $$$$. Very cool.

I installed one of these bulbs during the last week in January and it burned out on April 13. It lasted less than 4 months. It was installed in an outdoor fixture that is mounted below a small overhang on an outbuilding and it shelled out in less than 4 months. A very poor product. It has moved to the top of my items not to buy. Very poor quality.

My garage came with 3 light bulbs in the ceiling. I thought about replacing them with 4' LED shop fixtures. Then I came across these when a friend of mine installed them in his garage. Voila! Instant brightness, LED efficiency, and certainly less costly than new shop fixtures. Since I've installed them, several of my neighbors have done the same when they saw how mine worked. Highly recommend.

I was making the change to led all over, so I went with this one because it was the cheapest. And I am happy with it. Good brightness, replacing a 300 watt garage bulb. And I got used to the cooler color pretty quickly. As others say, it does take a fraction of a second to turn on after switch is flipped. But it took about 3 tries to get used to that and not even notice.

Came apart when removing from packaging but went back together just fine
