This thing is a beast, and I mean a beast. It was a Christmas gift for my son, and he had run it non-stop and it still goes. Through ice, water, mud, rocks, grass...it's taken tumbles and it still keeps going. This is just like the videos show, it will run over about anything and not much can stop it. Very detailed and after market add ons are endless.

I've been playing the "regualar" RC cars for all my life, and I finally wanted to step "Up" and tried something different. And for this price, is a great gateway to the other side of "real" 4x4 RC car. First what's the difference, why the price difference, this one is slightly higher than your typical toy. However, you are getting much more. You have proprotional steering control, what does that mean? A toy RC car, when you turn the steering, the wheel would turn to the max direction, you don't have any control, if you just want to make a minor correction. This is especailly important, when you want to go off roading. With this RC car you can travel to surface you can only dream of in the past. Like thick grass, most toy RC car would stuck, this will keep on going and going. The 4x4 system actually works in many surface. Rocks boulders (to the scale of the truck) You can finally experiencing 4x4 off roading without worry of damaging your actual 4x4 real truck! This RC also has proprotional accleratation control, so you can go as fast or as slow, this give you much better control with your off roading. And as soon as you let go of the "trigger", the truck stops. there is a physical link between the drivig motor to the driving wheels. So you get permenent 4 wheel lock, this make off roading easy because if you want to stop, you just let go of the trigger (gas) Again, this is not a toy for little kids, it's more gear toward the grown up, who like to step "up" in the world of RC, and tried something different. For the price, it's really worth the experience this can provide.

The RC car is so easy to use. The controls are like any other RC car and has great quality. The battery life lasts a while and the rc car has great power to it too.

Lowest price I could find on this website. The package arrived three days before expected. Amazon must have known I was very eager to recieve this purchase. So on to the review. The turning radius of the steering is too wide causing extreme oversteer. It might be possible to modify or upgrade the hardware to remedy this issue. I had planned to upgrade the parts eventually so hopefully there's room for improvement with the steering. The only real issue that I have is with the quality of the decals for the taillights and the fender side marker lights. The decals are very fragile and tear easily which makes precise application quite difficult. I managed to get one on without tearing but the taillights just don't look right with the stickers applied so I just painted over the lens. It's also disappointing to find the manufacturer didn't use LED lights for the taillights, this would have been a good feature of the design. The plastic fender side marker lights are also too thick. They protrude from the sides too much and don't look normal. The battery cable is also too short making it a hassle to connect the battery. Overall the build quality is acceptable for the price. It has enough torque to climb some obstacles so I am satisfied. It's a good entry point for the rc crawler hobby.

It is worth the money and very fun!

I like its appearance. Especially the design of its headlights, which looks very cool. Although most of the body is made of plastic, the overall texture is still good and it doesn't look cheap. After opening the packaging and reading the instructions, I started to use it. It was more powerful than expected. I set up a light obstacle course consisting of stones of different sizes on the ground. It easily crossed these obstacles. I took the truck to a grassland covered with tree bark. The truck handled it effortlessly. Moreover, I found that the remote control range of this car is much better than I expected. Even from a relatively far distance, it can respond well to my instructions. Personally, I think this small truck really performed well. At this price, I don't think there is anything better than it.

Took this rock crawler on our weekend camping trip in the mountains. My teenage kids and I used it on dirt paths and rocky slopes near our tent. The range is impressive — we had full control even at about 100 feet away. It was a great way to bond, and the sturdy build meant it could handle rough play. Well made truck for family fun!

Works well out of the box. If you're just messing around, you don't even need to upgrade it. If you want to do more serious climbs then there are tons of parts out there for this and they're pretty easy to install. battery life is abnormally good. The tires are a little hard but again, if you're just messing around they're good enough. It's a great entry level RC crawler, have fun and enjoy the low price.

This truck has been amazing. For the price it is a steal! This thing has surpassed my every expectation. I've owned alot of RC's and price to quality ratio it's top notch. Power is great, battery amazing. It keps up with a few of my pricier Axial trucks. For any parent wanting a good RC to get their kids into the hobby but not spend a ton...this is it!
