Good Portable SSD with Fast Speeds
I bought the Samsung SSD T7 Shield 2TB, and I'm happy with it. It has fast transfer speeds, which make moving files easy. The small and sturdy design is great for carrying around, and I like the security features. Overall, it’s a good choice for extra storage

I have several of these harddrives and I won't ever convert to another. These are fast and hold a lot of volume. Seller shipped it quickly. Would recommend

I have around five Samsung T7 Shield SSDs scattered around the house, and they all perform like champs. They are fast, durable, and compact, which makes them the easiest choice for backups, file transfers, and carrying large projects without worrying about reliability. The speed is exactly as promised. Files move fast, whether it is gigabytes of footage or entire folders of photos. The rubberized casing feels solid and grippy, and I have dropped one more than once without a single issue. It also stays cool even during longer transfers, which is rare for portable SSDs. The USB-C connection is secure, the cables are good quality, and setup is instant — plug it in and go. I use them for a mix of work and personal storage, and they have never failed, stuttered, or randomly disconnected. There are faster drives on paper, but none that feel this tough or this dependable. It is one of those products that just quietly does its job and keeps earning your trust every time you use it. Tested across multiple drives for daily backups and file storage, consistently fast transfers and excellent durability.

Unfortunately, I recently had one of my standard external hard drives give up on me — and it was devastating. I lost several years’ worth of valuable video footage and product material, and that was the moment I decided enough was enough. It was time to move away from traditional spinning drives and finally upgrade to solid-state technology. After doing a bit of research, I came across the Samsung T7 Shield Portable SSD (2TB, USB 3.2 Gen.2) in Blue, and it instantly caught my attention. The bright colour wasn’t just appealing — it was practical. Having multiple drives in different colours means I can tell at a glance which one’s which, without having to plug them in first. It’s a small detail, but one that’s proven surprisingly handy for keeping projects organised. I’ve now had this SSD for just over a year, and I can honestly say it’s been flawless. The build quality is superb — solid, compact, and clearly designed to withstand daily use. It’s also completely silent, with none of that whirring or vibration you get from mechanical drives. And the speed? It’s incredible. File transfers are lightning-fast, and working directly from the drive feels as smooth as using an internal SSD. At 2TB, it’s more than enough for my current needs, it's completely compatible with my iMac and they don't get hot. I’m constantly saving and loading large video files, and even after a year of heavy use, I’ve still got plenty of space left. The compact size is another big plus — it’s small enough to slip into a pocket or camera bag without adding bulk, and it’s tough enough to travel with me wherever I go. I’ve been so impressed, in fact, that I’ve since purchased two more T7's, each in a different colour. I use them to separate projects, back up footage, and store product design files — and they’ve all performed perfectly. Verdict: The Samsung T7 Shield is fast, reliable, and built like a tank. It’s the perfect upgrade for anyone tired of unreliable hard drives or looking to protect their data without compromise. Highly recommended — once you switch to these, you won’t go back.
