I have a supplement for my dog that he needs 3/64 of a teaspoon of twice a day; these make it easy to measure that amount accurately, without guessing. They're great for people who don't know how much a dash of an ingredient is, too--ever run into someone who thinks a dash of red pepper means add half a teaspoon of flakes because that's what looks right to them, then complains that the dish is too spicy and inedible, or that the flavor of the mustard overpowers everything else in the BBQ sauce?I first discovered mini spoons like this existed back in 2016 when my then-roommate had a set, but hadn't yet managed to find a set of my own when I had the budget to purchase them. And I want a second set for measuring out pigments for creating my own paints!This particular set is a fairly sturdy stainless steel, though they do have some flex to them; however, I've had metal normal-sized measuring spoons which bent easier than these. Each is clearly labeled with the size and the historical measurement name (drop, smidgen, pinch, dash, and tad); they're embossed into the steel, so they won't wear off for decades. I do wish they'd rubbed enamel into the embossing to create higher contrast, but again, that's a minor thing--these will still be legible for years to come.

I have all sorts of measuring spoons and this "mini" version is really helpful. So many recipes don't give exact measurements for all ingredients, so these are great to use when you need to add a dash of something or a smidge etc. Do keep in mind that since these spoons are really small, they can be a bit hard to find if you have a lot of kitchen tools/utensils around. But overall surprisingly good quality spoons.

This review is for "Smithcraft Mini Measuring Spoons Set of 5". These measuring spoons are not really useful sizes and I ordered them as a gag gift for my wife, after we had watched a cooking show with seasonings added by the pinch and dash. She will occasionally use one just to tease me if I am in the kitchen when she is cooking, but they do not receive regular use even though they are made of quality stainless steel and will probably last forever.

These stainless steel measuring spoons meet my kitchen requirements: no seams so they are easy to clean and stamped markings that won't rub off over time.
