Best screen free purchase!
My son is 7 and received this for Christmas. He has used it daily ever since. He loves the daily podcast and usually listens to that in the mornings while getting ready for school. He also listens to the crackling fire card that came with it in order to go to sleep at night. Its the perfect size to carry around the house and is simple enough that his 3yo brother can use it too. We bring it around and listen to the yoto radio which actually plays some decent music at times. It has been such a great purchase!

Better than the iPad!!!
My daughter has been using this since we bought it. No joke. Everyday and the cards are better than having your kid on a iPad when traveling. Instead of staring at a screen she listens to stories and stares out the window.

Fantastic product
I'm sure like others you have/are contemplated yoto or tonies. I went with yoto, I feel like it's more geared towards older kiddos. We got it when my daughter was 3.5 and I'm sure could have used it younger. She has played it everyday since Christmas. The set up was difficult, but I googled why it wasn't working and figured it out easily. It's not as portable as the mini, but my daughter still instead on taking it to the UK with her and her grandparents house whenever she stays!I was sceptical about the starter kit because of the unfamiliar cards. Well, the songs of the playground is her favorite card, she's learnt new songs from it and so have it. Literally a family favorite!

Amazing!!!! If you’re trying to cut down on screen time, buy this!!
The media could not be loaded. Love it!!! At first she liked it but still wanted the iPad instead (we’ve both got bad colds so I gave in) so I decided to buy the sesame street card, a holder with a strap and it has been game over ever since. We lost a few cards at Costco today and I wish they had a little Rolodex function so I didn’t have to go on my phone to cast the cards we lost!!But it is so worth the money, my kid loves to put those cards in, take em out, plug her headphones in and out. She loves it! It’s got a lot of features that are so easy to use. The haptic feedback on the buttons are great. I teach elementary school and am going to take this in to show the admin for small group activities. It looks so cute, people have ready asked me about it.Pros: easy to use. I love how it sounds. It looks good, seems durable. Battery is sufficient. It’s heavy and feels high quality. It saves what cards you have but only on the app. I like the radio and the night light. I like how high quality everything feels, even the cards are super sturdy (they are credit card sized which is great.)Cons: have to go on my screen to cast my lost cards. Don’t like how I had to connect it to WiFi. If I have to buy a subscription for it, game over. I’d never use it again.

Great Addition to Learning Modes
Got this for my daughter to lessen screen time and encourage other ways of entertainment while playing around the house. Sound is clear and soothing. Easy controls. Can lock volume levels, button preferences and languages on phone. Lots of card varieties out there, we love that it already came with some. Battery life is good. Overall happy with it.She’s 2yrs and 4 months and it took a few weeks for her to get used to how it works. She now knows to choose a card and listen for a while instead of constantly changing it for fun haha!

Great device. Not exactly what I was looking for.
I purchased the yoto player for my 3-4 year old classroom. It is a great little device that has many capabilities, however, the functionality of the device is not exactly what I was looking for. If you are looking to purchase something that is more “child led” I would not go with this device. It has more features so it is more complicated and I’m not able to just put it out for the preschooler to operate. Sound quality is great and connecting it was simple however I did not feel the “daily podcast” it has as a feature is suitable for kids under 5 years of age as it is definently over their mentality to hold their attention. The yoto player would be a wonderful purchase for children over 5 years of age and allowing them to utilize it until well into their teenage years. You would for sure get your money worth purchasing it.

Kids love it and they don’t even realize it
I bought the Yoto for my son’s 4th birthday. He said thank you and that he loved it but quickly put it to the side with no intentions of using it. My 8 year old also cast it to the side rather quickly and would rather watch tv at night than listen to the radio. Little do they know, they secretly love it! I turn on the rain and thunder at night to lull my son back to sleep as he loves white noise in the backround. I turn it on to play random and interesting facts as an alarm clock on School mornings. They have no idea that they’re soaking up priceless information as they wake. I put it on in the background while we do projects and my 1 year old dances to its music. I play the podcast station in the car as we’re driving. I love this little box of noise. It fills the room with good vibes as we carry on through out our days. It provides a way for them to build their imagination without even realizing. I love it! And the kids have no idea but they love it too!! Out with the tv and screens, in with music, stories and podcasts!!!
