Replacement Filters for Mini Milk Strainer

I'm not sure which funnel system to use, so I went with the Zoie and Cloie, the filter itself is of good quality, but it HAS to get 'locked down' somehow, in order to force the milk through. My combo did not do that. I then bought the 6 1/2" and that works fine.

I bought these to fit in a funnel that fits over a canning jar to strain my fresh raw goat milk. They are a tiny bit too small to cover the bottom of the funnel so dirt and hair can get around the filter and get into the milk bottle. If it were 1/8” in diameter larger, the screw on base that attaches to the funnel would hold the filter securely in place so all the milk would be forced through the filter and no hair or dirt would be left in the milk.

I bought these because they appeared to be made for my funnel and strainer that I’ve been using for over a year. I had been buying larger filters and folding them to fit. After a fair amount of use -at least a few weeks- we are noticing our goat milk taking on that sharp flavor that’s usually associated with goat milk (not our favorite). I tried putting the filter in in different ways, such as below the metal strainer (it gets pushed out, of course), but I still get visible debris in the final product. It’s just too small. I will go back to buying the bigger filters and will throw these in the craft bin, as I’m not sure what else to use them for.

This has simplified milking so much. There is no offtaste and the value for the money is great. I milk 5 goats twice a day. One in the morning and one at night in my strainer then toss. Clean and easy. Will be purchasing these again.

These are just the right size for my small milk filter. The delivery was very fast. The ladies and I thank you.

They do seem to be very thin. Over all they worked.

I was using coffee filters to filter my goats milk and it would take forever. With these, it takes no time and I feel confident it’s been strained properly.
