Slight improvement but doesn’t auto off when driving
1) The light will come on automatically with doors opening BUT IT WILL NOT GO OFF AUTOMATICALLY when you start driving. This is exceptionally distracting and so you have to manually turn it off every time you start driving. I tired two different purchases and both had this ‘fault’. 2) The light output is disappointing. It has 24 LEDs and yet both the brightness output AND spread of coverage is less than the humble iPhone Torch … definitely better than the OEM light which was terrible Returned both

No auto off
It switches on once you open the door and stays on. You need to switch it off manually every time you drive the car.

Does not switch off on its own
It's does not have light dimming capabilities nor does it switch off on its own. It adds more light but not to the extend advertised.

Replaced the original rear light in my '23 Ford Bronco 2 Door. Very easy install, the original wiring fit perfectly into the new light connector. Before adhering, I connected the light to ensure it was working perfectly and then adhered it - didn't need any addt'l tape. The fit was perfect and it looks and lights up the interior very nicely.

Product Review: Mabett Rear Ceiling Lights (for Ford Bronco) The Mabett Rear Ceiling Light is a must-have upgrade that successfully addresses the notoriously poor factory interior lighting in the back of the Ford Bronco. It transforms the dark rear seat and cargo area, but not without a few notable quality control and longevity concerns. The Good: A True Lighting Solution Massive Improvement Over Stock: The single greatest selling point is the huge difference in illumination. The Mabett light replaces the tiny OEM rear dome light with a unit featuring multiple angled LEDs—typically four facing the rear seats, four facing straight down, and four facing the cargo area. It's like turning on daylight compared to the factory dim glow. OEM Functionality Retained: The unit is designed to be plug-and-play with the vehicle's LINbus system. It retains full functionality, coming on automatically when the doors are opened and working with the factory overhead light switch (a feature that some competing lights lack). Easy Installation: For the most part, the install is straightforward, simply requiring the removal of the old light and connecting the new unit to the factory harness. No complex wiring or tapping into front-end wires is required. Aesthetic Appeal: The light is custom-fitted to the vehicle's plastic housing and often features a smoked lens, giving it an integrated, high-quality appearance that looks like it could have come from the factory. Conclusion The Mabett Rear Ceiling Light is an essential upgrade for anyone frustrated with the factory lighting. It is undeniably the most effective and easiest solution to light up the back of your vehicle while retaining OEM button control. Highly Recommended: Buy it for the light output and ease of install. Be aware of the reported, though rare, electrical/QC issues. If you notice strange electrical behavior, the Mabett light should be your first suspect to check or temporarily disconnect. Overall, it's a game-changer that makes nighttime use of your rear seats and cargo area infinitely better.

Easy to install and much brighter than stock light.

$75 was an OK price for the quality and materials of this light. It matches the interior well. Fit to the stock plastic is OK, but not perfect with a small gap (maybe 1/16th inch) at the front and back visible from the side looking up at it at the back, but it's not obvious. I'm pretty sure the two adhesive strips towards the front and the back of the light housing are not in contact with the stock cross bar plastic. Hopefully they will not end up massive dog hair bundles! The retaining clip and middle adhesive strips should hold the light in place, though. Getting the stock cargo light out was a bugger and I mangled the metal retaining clip on the one end. If you can reach behind the plastic to deflect that clip inwards a bit and catch the clip with your pry tool, it may help with removal without damage to the stock light. The front light kit is a more involved installation having a wiring harness, but the cargo light alone is easy once the stock light is removed. Just disconnect the wire, remove the adhesive strips covering, plug in the new light to the stock connector and snap into place. I would highly recommend cleaning the stock plastic in the bonding area with IPA before installing the light to remove dirt and residual oils from the plastic. Overall it functions well and does not look out of place. It does hang down below the cross bar by about an inch, so be aware if you load taller items in your rig.
