Strong book - if this is the only book you get
I’ve done 5 Ironmans and several triatholons - including half Ironmans. Took break and coming back to it - had the old edition. the new edition is excellent and would recommend first read. It’s not geared really for a beginner who wants to race I season it’s for someone who plans do it for a while and understand how to build up. My plan is over 3-5 years so this book is perfect for getting back into action.I’m in my 50s this and iron-fit are my go to books for now.

Great Charts and Structure
I have not read the other editions of this book. The information, formatting, and structure of this edition are of good quality. However, I think the charts for estimating weekly TSS for running and swimming are missing from this edition. I should not be required to dig for this information online. Other than that, great book so far.
