This is an exciting book for many F1 fans to read. I am not a Verstappen fan myself; however, I do recognise his talent as a great F1 driver. He is one of the best drivers of this generation.I was interested to read this book to understand Max better as a person. And I think this book allows that and gives good insights to his life and career.The book is well-written and easy to read. I also enjoy the photos added to the text - they are of great quality and make the book more captivating.Overall, this is a lovely book that I can recommend to all racing fans. You do not need to be Verstappen’s fan to enjoy this book. 5/5 stars.

It's an exciting, easy read for any motorsport fan looking to understand what makes Verstappen such a phenomenon, it contains a multitude of interesting photos, so would also work well as a 'coffee table book'. Highly recommended, and would make a great gift for any F1 fan.

This is a biography of the Formula 1 racing driver, Max Verstappen, which arrives as just a book, in Amazon’s packaging.I really like this. The book is a hardback, but there’s no dust jacket, and it’s 240 pages long. The font is quite small, and there are masses of coloured photographs, many of which I’ve not seen before. It is written in a simple and engaging style; a good delivery of information without any unnecessary fluff. The content covers the entirety of his career, from the early days of karting, through to the outstanding season of 2023, and it does touch on more personal aspects, such as family and relationships, which gives a rounder picture overall. It doesn’t shy away from the more questionable aspects of his personality and actions, but they’re not sensationalised, and are delivered in the same quiet, almost methodical way as the rest of the book.I found the book to be absorbing, and I was reading huge amounts of it in one go. The chapters are written in such a way that you can you use it as a ‘pick and flick’ if there’s a certain time period or race that you’re interested in. I’m pretty sure that it will stand repeat readings, too, as there’s so much information in there. As it’s a biography, it does lack some of the insider thoughts and feelings that you potentially gain from an autobiography, but it’s still a great read.At the time of writing this review, the cost is £17.36, and it’s worth it. Happy to recommend.

This book is an unauthorised biography of Max Verstappen written by a Formula 1 journalist who was at one point deputy editor of F1 Racing magazine.As a Lewis Hamilton, I have watched with interest as the G.O.A.T. has been deposed from his throne by this young pretender, usurping Lewis’ 8th F1 title in very controversial circumstances and then going on to set records for his utter dominance in the 2023 season.This book has done exactly what it sets out to do, which is to provide an insight into Max Verstappen’s background. I knew about the F1 career of his father Jos but I didn’t know that his mother was also a Karting champion who had raced alongside Jenson Button.The book is printed on good quality paper and packed full of great colour photographs that illustrate each aspect of the Verstappen family’s racing career.Ewan McKenzie does an excellent job of captivating the reader by weaving a really interesting story in a way that makes it very easy to keep reading chapter after chapter without tiring.Whether or not Max Verstappen goes on to surpass Lewis’ achievements, at present he is the most dominant driver in Formula One and his story is a must read for anyone who has an interest in this most elite form of motorsport.A perfect gift for any F1 fan.
