As described. Simple but effective. I placed a piece of wood on the wall first and then screwed the mounts on the wood.

Great looking; not great in practice.
These arrived today and I immediately put up as have been wanting to put my board up. Mounting the holds was simple, however when tightening the screws to make the mount flush against the wall the screw easily started screwing through the internal thread hole of the rubber mount - immediate indication that these were not as solid as expecting.And then once placing my board, the mounts were being pushed outwards by the weight of the board (board only, no bindings) causing my board to slowly slip through.Overall very tricky to use due to the softness of the mounts.

Perfect for displaying!
Easy to install, saves a ton of room and look amazing to show off your boards! I have 6 very expensive boards and these hold them tightly and I never worry about them falling. Repeatedly putting boards in amd out have shown zero signs of wearing, built very well!
