Excellent paint, good coverage, quick drying
I last painted our garden furniture 18 years ago and it was starting to flake off, so it was time to do it again - but one of those jobs I had kept putting off for a few years! In the end I bought this Rustin's Small Job Gloss Paint and am glad that I did. I found it very easy to apply. It dries very quickly, in around 30 minutes, so you can do two coats in a day. It is a great colour - brighter when you put it on and dries to a slightly darker shade. This is helpful when doing a second coat as you can see what has already been painted. In the end I used four 250ml tins and this was sufficient to put two coats on six chairs and two tables, plus a third coat on just the table tops. So a little goes a long way and we are very happy with the way they look.

Excellent finish and easy to use.
Excellent paint. Bought it to provide a contrast for a radiator, shelf and hand rail having been disappointed in the colour of a Dulux paint I had had mixed specially. Colour exactly as shown. Covers well and easily with few drops even on the radiator- a nightmare to paint with the Dulux. Lovely gloss finish. Small tin but goes a long way and only needed one coat.

Smooth and Convenient
The Rustins Small Job Satin Paint (White, 250ml) goes on smoothly and provides a nice, subtle satin finish. Perfect for small touch-ups or craft projects, it dries evenly and is easy to work with. A handy, high-quality option for minor painting tasks.

Lovely glossy chocolate finish
Lovely glossy finish, right concistency, the finish is a gorgeous warm-tone brown and very easy paint, doesn't take ages to dry, lovely for wood pieces and I'm using it to up-cycle my mirror and it's working perfectly, one thick layer is good enough Coverage, and doing thin layers and building up is also a great finish.

Brilliant paint!
Brilliant paint! Dries to a lovely matte black but make sure you stir it well. Touch dry in 30 mins and able to do second coat in 2 hours. Absolutely delighted with my purchase. Would highly recommend.

Don't be fooled!
Don't let the 5 star reviews fool you! This is water based 'gloss' paint and will never reach the gloss of oil based paint. Nor will it flow like proper gloss oil based paint. Here's what you need to know about this paint. I applied this to mdf over 2 coats of dulux professional primer and undercoat. It has to be applied thickly and with very little over brushing. If you over brush it will remove the paint already applied! Welcome to the world of water based gloss paint! Apply the paint liberally trying not to over brush too much. If you experience paint loss, brush vigorously over the area to re coat. The first coat will look absolutely dreadful - I promise you - you'll want to wipe it all off and get some proper gloss paint!. Those saying this looks good after 1 coat are stretching the truth somewhat! It will look terrible with streaks, brush strokes and uneven coverage - that's water based gloss paint for you. After 2 hours, re-coat... You will need to apply a further 4 to 5 coats or maybe more to achieve a smooth appearance. Yes, I'm saying you might need 6 or more coats of this stuff where oil based would only require 1 coat - this is a consequence of 'saving the planet' with water based gloss. After the 4th coat you will start to get there, you may still see uneven coverage, this is normal for the inferior water based gloss paint we are now encouraged to use. But you will eventually get there and the results will be ok but never the high gloss of oil based gloss. So 3 stars for trying! It's never going to be as good as the old days, but there you go!

Great for lazy painters
In all honesty this was a desperation purchase. I had started a project only to find that the dulux colour I was using had been discontinued and would cost a fortune to get mixed. After a mad scramble I found this Candy Pink gloss and since it was the cheapest and looked like it was the closest colour match I figured I had nothing to lose, well £6 maybe but who's counting? First things first it stinks but not the same stink as the bigger brand glosses but seriously open all the windows!! As for the paint itself it is a weird consistency, almost too wet for a gloss, but it was cheap so I wasn't expecting great things! I'm not a decorator, in fact I am as lazy as they come so I just slapped the stuff on with a 1 inch brush! It went on OK although the thin consistency meant that if you even go the tiniest bit too thick it runs. It also doesn't look like gloss while it is drying. This is where it gets frustrating, 1 tin was not enough to do 2 coats. I was painting approximately 4m of skirting, a door frame, and one side of a door! I'm pretty sure it is meant to cover more than that but 2 time did do the trick and it was cheaper than the other stuff! It isn't great but it isn't the worst stuff I've used and for someone who hates painting it made it easy!
