I love this hourglass sand timer the iridescent glass is beautiful in the sunlight, it is a bit difficult to see the black sand but it doesn't matter to me as its a lovely item. Its good quality and a good price. It arrived on time and packed very well. The screws to the frame do need to be tightened up before use. I'm very pleased with the item.

My sister put the black sand one on her Christmas wish list. So I bought it for her. When I saw it I loved it. My sister decided to buy me the white sand one which I think is far better as the glass seems to change the sand colour to pale pinks lilacs blues and golds. I use it to take a break from housework, where I tend to ignore clocks this is a great way to stop, have a cuppah, read a mag and get back to it. It is very attractive and sturdy, and a real talking piece when visitors see it.

Bought for my husband as he has always wanted one. He timed the sand and it is an accurate true hourglass. The iridescent color reflects in the sunlight through the window. The design is simple lines, functions as it should, and may buy another for our bedroom.
