All the wall ethernet ports I've seen have the flat spot across the top, the wedge at the bottom, the pins on top and the clip is on the bottom once the cable is inserted.I have a wall outlet that I wanted to right angle the cable down to the floor to then run the cable behind a dresser. Thus, I bought the 'down angle' cable. Except the clip of this cable is on the top, thus the cable would have to run upward, away from the floor, if I were to plug it in. The opposite of what I want.I could remove the ethernet jacks and invert them to make this cable work, but that's not reasonable when every other ethernet jack I've used has the clip at the bottom once in use.Thus, check your ethernet port direction before ordering.If the cable's clip is on the bottom when a normal ethernet cable is inserted, and you want to go from the wall down to the floor, you need the 'up angle' cable.

Works well. Solid speeds. Make sure to pay attention to the direction of your Ethernet ports. Mine are “upside down” so in order to get the cable to go directly down, I actually had to get the cable that goes ‘upwards.’
