EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Crash Course with Online Practice Test, 2nd Edition: Get a Passing Score in Less Time (EMT Test Preparation): 9780738612355: Medicine & Health Science Books @ desertcart.com Review: This is all you need to pass NREMT - First and foremost, I want to begin by saying that I absolutely have zero medical background; I'm actually in the hospitality industry and decided to get into EMS as it's always been a long-time dream for me, a stepping stone to get into the medical field. About a month and a half ago, I took an accelerated EMT course, and it was by far the toughest class I've ever taken. The course was so fast-paced, with all the information crammed into such a little time. Needless to say, only 9 out of 16 of us passed the class. One of our instructors recommended this book, so I picked it up to study for the NREMT. This book simplified everything for me, providing a better understanding without the need to read the 1000+ pages of the AAOS textbook. This book, combined with PocketEMT, helped me tremendously. The NREMT is tricky, but if you take the time to understand each chapter in this book, rather than just memorizing it, you will pass the NREMT. If you did well on your patient assessments, skills, and practicals, you'll do well on the exam. I'm not the best at studying and taking exams, but this book helped me a lot, and I passed the NREMT on the first try! I highly recommend this book; you will not regret it! Review: for crammers/procrastinators like me - the book clutched for my nremt I was so scared and decided to buy it after a friend recommended it to me. I read 100/300 of the pages each day and did all the quizzes and skimmed through it right before my exam at like 8am. It stopped me at 70 questions and truthfully I thought I flunked but got the email later that day saying I passed! it was my first time taking it and the questions were interesting but the book helps you remember the basic things that can help you decipher the questions on the test. but do keep in mind that we all did not take the same emt class so results may vary but its very straight forward. but if you have the time to read through it thoroughly read through it thoroughly cause it is a great book. Your journey is almost over future emt keep your head up!!! dont be a last minute person like me but if you are this book and a couple online practice exams got you good.

Phenomenal Book To Pass The NREMT
I Passed my NREMT on the first try ending at 70 questions. I will not fluff this review or add anything that is misleading. I am sure anyone that is reading this, is super stressed out about the NREMT and has scoured all of the internet for good for tips and tricks to pass the exam. The reality is, you need to know a little bit of everything from each topic. With that being said, this pocket prep book covers all the topics with the amount of detail that you need to know to pass the NREMT. The pre hospital book that I was given at the start of my EMT class contained over 1400 pages of straight nonsense. I first thought to myself, "Am I trying to become a doctor, or an EMT." This is why throughout my EMT class, I opened up this book and followed along my instructors power points rather than try to follow along in my 1400 page book. As you can see with the picture attached, I added some information that the book did not have. You might find yourself adding stuff throughout the EMT course, and that is fine. I read this book twice. Once during my EMT course, and the second time four days before my NREMT. This book also contains a code that can be used to access the REA NREMT practice exam, which is super awesome. If you know this book inside and out (~400 pgs.) you will pass the NREMT, I am living proof. I very seldom opened my 1400 page textbook throughout my EMT course. Other than this book, I recommend the EMT Pocket Prep App, through your phones app store. It is something like 14.99 a month, but is totally worth it. Take all 800 questions and read all the explanations on why it is, or isn't the answer you chose. From that app, I even added information to this crash course book to the correlating sections, and it helped me out significantly. Last but not least, If you memorize your skill sheets verbatim, you will have no problem answering the "What is the next step" questions on the NREMT. Good Luck use this book!

awesome review, make sure you get separate practice questions
This was an awesome review! I skipped out on some of my readings from my extremely dense textbook over the semester and was worried I would have to open that terrible book again after passing the class, but this was informative and succinct enough that I passed my exam with a minimum of 70 questions. Definitely make flashcards from this and memorize as much as you can because the information is already pretty consolidated to begin with. The only con of this book is that I had to buy another book of practice questions because the ones in these book are pretty basic (just meant to consolidate knowledge after each chapter) and not really representative of the questions on the actual exam.

Passed after challenging NREMT!
I haven't been in EMT for over 20 years, so I had to take a 40-hour pressure, then I was able to challenge the test. This book is absolutely perfect. It's not extremely detailed, it just refreshes your memory. It is a little long, 392 pages with the glossary at the back, but the print is very easy to read, there's not a lot of fluff, there are a few pictures that you really need, but the best part is the quizzes at the end of each chapter. It's just a few questions because it is broken down very well, but they're there. It also has practice exams which you can take with the code at the front of the book. I took one practice exam and only missed three questions, so I knew I was good to go. Glad that I got this book, because the reviews were spot on.
