Barkleys Mints Wintergreen Tastefully Intense Mints Tins 50 g (Pack of 6)

If, like me, you are unsure of what wintergreen mints actually are, think menthol eucalyptus. These will definitely clear the sinuses. Taste is very subjective. Unlike the previous reviewer, I think these taste great. Like the other Barkleys flavoured mints the flavour is what you get rather than a mint with a hint of flavour. A real taste sensation! I happen to love anything in a cute tin, so have tried all the flavours and don't dislike any of them. The liquorice is worth a try. It was the one I was least sure of before buying but turns out to be my favourite.

The 2 stars are for the tins that the sweets came in. As for the sweets; I am unable to find any mint flavour, due to the overwhelming taste of sugar. I was looking for something that would freshen my breath after a meal, or snack, when away from home. It's not always convenient to carry toothbrush and paste! Not much more to say except that the kids next door - 4 and 5 year olds - love them. So I have donated them to their mum, who will ration them because of the sugar. She didn't like them either, but says the tins will come in very useful once they are empty.

These are nothing like the usual taste, texture or size of Barkleys Mints!! Looking at the other reviews I am not alone in stating this. If I hadn't thrown the packaging away I'd be returning them. I have bought this particular make and flavor of mints from a different retailer for a few years (who are unfortunately currently out of stock) and they always taste of wintergreen, are slightly softer in texture and also slightly smaller in size. These taste of eucalyptus NOT wintergreen!! Vey disappointed.

Having tried Wintergreen sweets in the USA many years ago, I find this Barkleys brand to be less strong but nevertheless pleasant tasting. Not as smooth on the tongue as Lifesavers but the fact that they come in a tin is a bonus.

Not keen on the e420 but I rarely have more than one a day to mask a bit of indigestion.

These aren't wintergreen flavour as I know it, they taste more like fisherman's friends to me.

If you’re expecting the same flavour as Wintergreen Lifesavers, then unfortunately you’re going to be extremely disappointed because they’re nothing like them. In fact, I would go so far as to say they’re extremely unpleasant. Don’t waste your money on these particular mints, I wish I hadn’t.

Sie schmecken lecker und ich werde sie immer wieder kaufen. Der Geschmack ist genau meins 👍.

I love other Barkley's Mints but this one is utterly disappointing. I love wintergreen, too bad these taste nothing of wintergreen.

They taste like medicine- buy the spearmint/peppermint ones instead

Gute Ware

Ich verstehe die anderen Rezensionen nicht so ganz. Das Produkt hat einen feinen Wintergreen Geschmack und ja auch einen Haus Eukaplyptus. Die Minznote ist frisch und es passt gut zusammen. Natürlich ist es für uns ungewohnt weil diese Geschmacksrichtung in D nicht bekannt ist.
