Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) and Ally Sheedy (The Breakfast Club) star in this compelling drama filled with action, suspense and high-tech adventures. Featuring superb performances by Dabney Coleman and Barry Corbin, WarGames is “brilliant...funny...and provocative” (New York)--a fast-paced cyber-thriller. Computer hacker David Lightman (Broderick) can bypass the most advanced security systems, break the most intricate secret codes and master even the most difficult computer games. But when he unwittingly taps into the Defence Department’s war computer, he initiates a confrontation of global proportions--World War III. Together with his girlfriend (Sheedy) and a wizardly computer genius, David must race against time to outwit his opponent...and prevent a nuclear Armageddon. Review: Wargames - A classic film and delivered on time. Review: Entertaining - Entertaining and great for the time. Very entertaining.

Wargames - on blu ray at last
Wargames has always been one of my favourate films, but I lost my DVD copy. It was a delight to finally see Wargames on Blu Ray, and it still remains an awesome film. I'm not any kind of film technique/quality snob so I'm not the person to ask about whether or not the picture is "HD" enough to justify being on blu ray, but I do know that the film looked and sounded fantastic to me played through a 42" HD TV. If you don't already have wargames and you have a blu-ray player then this is the one to get. If you already have it on DVD then you're probably safe staying where you are. Extras hadn't really been invented then, so extra content isn't an issue either way here.

Excellent film, smomewhat dated technology wise now
This is a very nice well made film and has always been one of my favourites, admittedly it is a little dated technology wise after all this time. But in my opinion it is still well made and well acted, it is certainly worth a watch. I have given it only four stars due to the fact that although the blu-ray rendidtion is considerably superior to the original Dvd version, it is still below par for what perhaps could have been achieved given a little more effort and dare I say it perhaps a little more financial outlay. Still all in all it is worth the price and I would recomend it if you like this type of film, also the added bonus is it is now region free.

Great film for 80's nostalgia, action and family friendly.
Great Bluray film, full of 80's nostalgia (floppy disks, modems & crt monitors) with great writing and acting. The story stands the test of time, especially with Cyber Warfare used increasingly by militaries around the world. Suitable for watching with early teen kids, no bad language, drugs or sexual references (rare these days). It also has moral story arc, great family film. Highly recommended.

A old but great movie. A classic About a boy that hacks into the US government computer system
A old but great movie. A classic About a boy that hacks into the US government main computer system and almost starts world war 3. I remember watching this when it first came out. But now it's on Blu-ray. Definitely a good movie if you haven't seen it.

GREAT MOVIE, top 20 all time favorites, STILL love it and choke up a lot watching it. Its an intelligent masterpiece!! Turn out the lights to watch this (unless you cant do strobe lights then be sure NOT to turn out the lights), and put up the surround sound bass a bit. The payoff is mesmerizing! Had to finally add this to my collection, I am still buying all the movies I love. There are a bunch of bonus materials, LOVE what they've included. Immediately had to re-watch it with commentaries. I want to watch it again right now writing about it, it's simply one of the gems from the 80's and such a contrast to today's tech while a familiar theme for 2023. Great Blue-ray quality picture - I DID NOT KNOW my PS4 CANNOT PLAY 4K movies. So the fact this set has two discs, Blue-ray and 4K, makes it the perfect choice. I'm sure I'll buy a 4K player (or PS5) eventually, and have the Blue-ray for now - GET THIS ONE!!

Arrivato puntuale. Imballaggio perfetto. La pellicola esterna trasparente è quella originale. Audio italiano .
