I bought this card to pair it with my Canon R5C and it works perfectly in any recording format, even 8K, and any frame rate. No limitations. If you're looking for a card that allows you to record 8K, 6K or 4K, this is the best option.

First, gripe is the packaging. Come on, there could have been a hundred of these in the box it was shipped in. The package itself is streamlined and minimal, but the box it was shipped in? Anyway, the card itself is awesome. The aluminum container is terrific. The card appears to be well built. I formares it in camera which took less than 2 seconds, then I fired off at 120 frames a second 400 or so images. Zero lag. Zero buffer. It was just hungry for more. Terrific. I then ingested those images into my computer and it flew. Then I deleted the images and reformatted it. It is way faster than any other memory card I own. I took a pic of a few. Terrific Excited.

Tested on Nikon Z8 8.3K60P N-RAW Zero recording interruptions filling the card with one take Hot card warning after 15 minutes 8.3K24P N-RAW Zero interruptions and never a hot card warning shooting a short film over a 12h shooting day. Buffer for photography is very impressive. Bursts were averaging 120-130 photos, or 6 seconds of continuous 20fps RAW shooting. Buffer cleared in 1.5-2 seconds. Some other brands can MAYBE record longer without a hot card warning, but the warning never interrupted me anyways.

I wanted the largest, fastest, reliable storage for my R5C. This is it. Combined with a tbunderbolt card reader, I can edit 8k raw directly from the card, which is much easier than transferring to my computer. This card supports every flavor of recording options on the R5C. I’ve had no overheat issues, the card has not failed, and the speed seems consistent, mitigating against dropped frames. Using BMD speed test with my thunderbolt reader, I can confirm the card has approximately 1500 MB/s sustained write, and 1700 MB/s sustained read. Overkill I’m sure for current recording options in cameras, but that will probably change in a year or two. The card is very expensive, but I think it’s worth the investment if you intend on using fast bitrate cameras in the future.
